- Around the 2016 election, when things started to get interesting, I recovered my old twatter account and started using it to bookmark news articles. Twatter, in an attempt to get me to correct age and sex for ads, showed me the algorithmically inferred ones: 55M. I'm a wamen and was half as old at the time.
- It's INSANE that "nb" shows up on the chart at all. There's no greater condemnation of Discord, no pedophile network graph, that's as damning as this. It's not uncertainty: "uncertain", "could be either" would show up on the graph as 50%m 50%f. Consider : what is the probability that I am Vladimir Putin? It's the base probability that the average user is Putin (really small) adjusted by my Putinny traits (now slightly higher but still really fucking small). That "nb" is so high means a large share of Discord users explicitly announce themselves to be "nonbinary". Considering there are also "m" and "f" troons, a child would genuinely be safer on Grindr, if only because a nervous pedo there would suspect him to be a honeypot.
(It's not based, else "nb" wouldn't be an option at all. It must work like this:
the troon signed up for Discord and joined all the gorl tawk channels; most users there are "f" (male troons) so it made him an "f", too. But over time, he got bored of affirming other spinny skirts and joined channels for his other interests, which still have plenty of normal male autists.)
