Warlockracy - Potatozone game reviewer, has good Fallout 2 and Morrowind mod reviews, why is there no discussion about him?

By now complaining/laughing about Russian culture is a part of the identity of the channel. And honestly it's not like that there is a shortage of American political gaming channels or that those politics are any dumber. It would be interesting to see a different angle, but it's not so ridiculous hearing that Putin's government trying to make propaganda games of "we wuz killing nazis and sheet".

I dont think its about being Pro-Russian, its more it just gets tiring hearing this twat constantly do a 90 degrees turn so he can rant how much "Russia sux guyz", by the 10th time this shit just gets annoying. If he just talked about the games, his experience or brought up more obscure facts/stories about said games it would be a different story. But, instead whenever its a Russian game or mod, he needs to beat you over the head how Russia and its people are all shit.
They are though.

Pretty sure those type of propaganda games are usually shat out by Yank studios if we look at the CoD games.

The few I've seen complained they couldn't climb shit and that Morrowinds dungeons sucked.
Stop reading my Daggerfall supremacy posts.

Losing climbing really, really sucked though. A real bummer. On the other hand, dungeons were way better in Morrowind because they wouldn't soft lock you, it was the lack of them that sucked. The small size of the game also meant that they had to get rid of fast-travel from anywhere and replaced it with fixed fast-travel points(silt striders). That meant you had to spend three minutes walking to one of those to save you six minutes of walking time in the other direction. It was a bit annoying, really.
Morrowind is a fantastic game but people complaining about [latest Elder Scrolls game] and how it's not [previous Elder Scrolls game] will always be funny to me. It's always been like this, maybe with the exception of going from Arena to Daggerfall.

I'd say more the golden age of WW2 shooters where America was the one killing the Nazees. COD from what I heard had a less favourable look of America establishment, and post 2016 even WW2 games were about how it was actually Niggers and Women who beat the Nazis. Which admittedly is its own brand of globohomo propaganda.

Still a trashfire is always fun to look at.

It's the nature of "ART/Entertainment" and, in this case, a game. Are you trying to make a good game or a propaganda piece?

Old COD games were great because they were good shooters, first of all, and whatever propaganda and trappings were secondary. Same shit we see with Christan games, DEI games, state propaganda games. They always suck because, first, they are not meant to be a good game but a good vehicle for said propaganda.

I wouldn't mind his sperging so much if the jokes still landed. At this point he is just repeating the same joke but changing the nouns. His Planet Alkatraz video worked because the game was bat shit insane and required little effort from him to make it funny. Bloated Unfinished Unreal/Unity project number 1000 but with Russian funding is not that entertaining without effort.

I mean, sort off CoD WWII def went back to sucking Americas wang, an then you have like MW 2019 where it just sucking off the US military, same with Cold War. But, then you find out how apparently the US military are like "consulting" the devs an suddenly all this dick sucking makes lots of sense.

I know that Hollywood gets a fuck ton of money and equipment from the USA army, surprised it also extends to gaming.

Ye, I read an article 2 years ago where it talked how the US military was involved in making MW 2019, hence why the US military is so righteous and good in that game and never did anything bad or wrong. Heck, its even continued the MW2 remake.

Hasn't Call of Duty basically been US Military propaganda since the first Modern Warfare? While most companies and organizations took a while to really latch onto games, the US Military did that shit from the outset of the FPS genre.
Well, kinda but not really. Like CoD4 through MW3 didnt show US military as this force for justice an etc, they did show how that patriotism and jingoism bites em in the ass despite all the posturing. MW 2019? Fuuuck no, they pretty much go how the CIA and US military are these noble warriors, who would never kill or torture civilians, use banned weapons, fund terrorist cells an etc. Like, the most memorable for me is when you have attack choppers shooting up a hospital with rockets and gatling guns, while its also bombed by artillery and then you hear"Oh ye, no civilians were harmed, go inside"

I swore I heard the US Military had been funding Cod since at least MW2. MW2019 was such shit at large, it just had really good moments that kinda held it together.

After watching the video on Smuta I am left perplexed by what the actual propaganda value of the game is. Usually government funded games that are seen as propaganda are very obvious in their nature and lack any subtlety in the message they are trying to convey.

Maybe it's a language barrier issue or something but all I see is a mediocre game with levels too big for its own good and a historical setting that often goes unmentioned and unseen outside of Eastern Europe. Was it maybe a waste of government funding? Perhaps but at least it got a finished product out the door and wasn't a total scam.

He's trying to spin a game getting government funding and some questionable reporting as it being propaganda. In a surprising example of cross-culture solidarity this is just like western games which soak up government grants and shit out mediocre products.

Does fucked in this sense mean good? In which case I agree. Ten Hammers was pretty decent too, I was kind of hoping that Six Days in Fallujah would be a similar style game, sadly not
Yea, it means good. Took me a couple tries to get into it but you can't find gameplay like that anywhere else. Really fun once you get a hang of it
