I've actually put some thought into this. Not because I have or will ever have that kind of money, just random shower thoughts throughout my life. I'd set up a trust so that the beneficiaries would receive something like 10-20k a year. Any additional would be based on a percentage (50%?) of what they earn themselves through gainful employment. So they will always have an emergency income, but not a comfortable one, but they will have to work to earn the rest and are incentivized to progress. If they WANT a basic 30k a year job to take home 45k and that's the life that fulfills them, cool. But if they want to do nothing, hope you can survive on 20k a year faggot.

I would not be surprised if Barnes was helping Nick behind the scenes in trying to suppress the footage over 4th amendment concerns. Nick talked about his entrance into the 40k lore, either on a painting stream or a gaming stream, and something about this made me remember it.

When Nick was working at the Wells Fargo, it was in downtown Minneapolis. (Why the fuck you drive 2+ hours to do a retail bank job is beyond me, but that's another story. Supposedly that's where he was told to work.)

It's cold af in the Twin Cities in winter, so in the 60s, building owners started connect the buildings together with bridges across the streets. This became known as the Minneapolis Skyway, and it was fairly extensive by the aughts. Nick would wander around the Skyway on breaks (at times getting "lost"), and often would browse a bookstore on the Skyway. He stumbled across 40k fiction one day and thought, "Oh hey this looks interesting, nice and long." So he'd read it on his breaks (I will also presume he read 40k lore during work, instead of Ayn Rand, but maybe this was after he completed her oeuvre).

So that's how his 40k interest started. Yes, he does have some knowledge of the 40k lore, but I would say it's not as comprehensive as he would act. I have no doubt he read a lot of the books, and the ebook thing lines up with the ones that were behind him in the vault. He's said he collects those because he likes them, and generally doesn't read them. (And pays scalper prices for the ones he can't be assed to get in on the pre-order for.) I presume he has a lot of the ebooks or even had paperbacks of some of them, at some point.

Above said, I can't imagine reading is a fun activity if you're passed out drunk or while high as a kite, inch-deep (but limp) on your crack whore.
