Question, since I know fuck all about law: This will be a jury trial, right? The possible penalties for the charges are multiple years, so it would have to be?
In any criminal case in which the potential criminal penalty is imprisonment of six months or greater, a criminal defendant is entitled to a jury trial under the U.S. Constitution.

So, yes.

There are people that think it ought to cover cases in which the potential imprisonment is under six months, on the basis the Sixth Amendment says ALL criminal cases, but the SCOTUS disagrees.

See, if Barnes were making arguments like that, or how "qualified immunity" was a total asspull by the SCOTUS, I could understand his appeal. You can make a good faith argument that the SCOTUS's interpretation of the Constitution was bad, and not sound like a fucking lunatic. Provided you make clear that the bad interpretation would still be the controlling one.

But that nigger is over there talking about how all bail is unconstitutional, how drugs are a right, and claiming his interpretation of the Constitution somehow trumps existing case law that speaks to the contrary. I find him immensely obnoxious. I hate his grifting ass. I think he reflects badly on other lawyers.

Sorry for the rant.

Seriously though, I hope he gets a thread someday. He's practically begging for one at this point.

Never trust anyone with a goatee. ANYONE!
HARD disagree

So far, I think he hasn't needed a lawyer in this, so him doing stuff pro se to get out of the way quickly makes sense.
He made this same stupid mistake in the Monty lawsuit. And managed to piss off the Judge by doing it. He fucked up his initial responses then brought in his big time lawyer at the last minute to undo his fuck ups.

The idea that I'd create a streaming show just seems bizzare to me -- and yet Rekieta saw it as a potential new career. I've always presumed people do it because they want some degree of fame/e-celebrity. I can't think of why else you'd do it.

Perhaps he saw it as a route to more sexual partners? The whole local winemoms thing?

A streaming career, at least the one Nick had, is enormously more appealing than the typical 9 to 5 for a lot of really obvious reasons. For the average person, work is a means to the end of having enough money to live life. Whatever the easiest way of achieving that goal is, they will take it. They won't sit around worrying about how embarrassing it is to have a "streaming career," especially not when it starts making the sort of money Rekieta did. People might not take you seriously when you say your job is Internet social media livestreaming, until you tell them you easily pull 5 figure viewer counts and make half their yearly salary in one day of superchats. At that point your streaming job will no longer be seen as low status.

I have to tell you, if I had it available I’d think I’d absolutely pay $5000 for not having to report in, be subject to random testing, be unable to leave the state, etc., for 3 months.
As a matter of convenience, yes. If you're just some random person working a job, and your family/friends circle is average, then sure, why not.
But if I would be a streamer, and Daily Mail would be writing articles about me, and there would be a forum with 100k opinions about me - mainly negative - and if dozens, if not hundreds of other streamers and content creators would start talking about my case - AND, CRUCIALLY - if I would KNOW FOR FUCKING SURE I didn't use coke, I am not an alcoholic, I can absolutely be held accountable - yeah, I would try to prove it. I would put myself through the process, just to show people they are wrong about me.
Just so I can forever stick it in their face that I am clean, I can be absolutely dependable and reliable, and I am not above humiliating myself to the authorities, if in exchange I can prove how much I care about my kids - more than about my convenience or freedoms. I would do this for kids - to teach them something - show them that I fucked up and there is a price to pay for me. I need to get better regardless of the final sentence.
But what did Nick teach the kids - that if daddy has got big bucks he can be the exact same piece of shit forever and ever, until he fucks up so bad he has to go to prison. And even then, it's gonna be the fault of that gawd damn gubmint and that gawd damn church. It will never be Nick's fault.

I see this whole thing as another missed opportunity for Nick. Just another time where he could've taken the high road, and he decided not to.

As much as I loathe Barnes for nose guarding Nick, I would love to see him expose Legal Mindset for the grifting creep that anyone with a memory longer than a goldfish knows he is.

Fuck Mindset. He thinks he can throw a few “attaboys” at the farms, shade Nick after covering for both him and Drexel only until recently when it became untenable, and think we’ll all kiss his ass.

Indeed. Legal Mindset and Nick definitely share some... common interests.

I will also add that Legal Mindset was mentioned alongside Drexel and Branca as being an influence in Nick deciding to take things in a new direction:

Nick also claimed that he had an "objective observer" helping him navigate the direction he was taking:

Notice how Nick immediately ignored the warning signs he had set up for himself (messing up on a live stream or upsetting people). Moving on...

Unsure who exactly this objective observer (or more likely observers) could be, given how many degenerates he surrounds himself who think they have the women and sex thing all figured out and know where the line is.

There's, Drexel, the Mayor of Migtown who thinks that women should only exist for breeding purposes and men (but not him) should have recreational sex with trans women. Legal Mindset the passport bro. Andrew "sex with other women than your wife is just masturbation" Branca. Camelot331 wasn't mentioned, but he seems to have been around while Nick was going after hookers at some undisclosed point.

In general, the participants/enablers around Nick might think he just partied too hard, but one of the main issues here is that Nick's family still doesn't seem to register to them. The reality is that a married father of 5 who is essentially the sole means of income for the family shouldn't be doing this sort of thing in the first place if he wants a stable home. The benefits of being a reliable father include being able to feed/comfort your children instead of shooing them away and making forced jokes about them being molested at every opportunity.

Nick doesn't really care though, and neither do the accomplices to his downfall.

Of course. It's always about "muh mother fucking kiwifarms." It dosen't seem to matter if someone's left or right, they all seem to hate the farms existence.
I said this on the 4chan thread, but this website have become a bunch of peoples boogiemen.
It's because it's an easy target. Moral cowards and low info hustlers abound on xitter and a low population gossip site makes for low effort scapegoating.

Kiwifarms in 2024 is what 4chan was to most of the world until like 2016 lol
