Piracy General

  • 🐕 I am attempting to get the site runnning as fast as possible. If you are experiencing slow page load times, please report it.
I haven't been able to connect tot 1337x.to for several days now.
Website IsItDownNow? reports it being reachable for them though.
What's going on? Is my ISP provider blocking the site?

If so, is there any way to get around this without buying the services of a VPN?
Can reach it just fine over Tor

Ah yes, that did work, haha. Thanks for the tip, fellow farmer.

Still annoying that no other method works to connect to the website though.
I guess buying the services of a VPN are the way to go regardless, 1337x notwithstanding.

What's the best VPN to buy, do you think?
Works fine for me with no VPN in the US.
The United States of America does have its perks! <3

As a swede myself, Mullvad would be the logical choice, but I read about some controversy regarding the "port forwarding feature" some time ago?

Is it possible to get an "Explain It Like I'm Five" (I'm not a redditor!) for the port forwarding thing? :-)
I don't think I can explain it like you're five but I can explain it a bit. Basically, you need a port for the VPN to use, and for qBittorrent (best client) to communicate over. Mullvad used to allow you to choose your port, but now they just randomly assign things. You take the VPN port, plug that number into qBittorrent, and port forward that port on your router.

At least that's how I got it to work on my dedicated torrent box, I'm sure I'm retarded.

Try to change your DNS servers.

PrivacyGuides is my go to for reccomendations. For simplicity's sake, I can vouch for Mullvad.

The Internet is a big ass network of computers available to the public. An intranet is a small network that for most people begins and ends with the devices in their home.
Port forwarding allows computers outside your home to access your computer via the internet. In other words, it allows your computer to be part of the Internet.
The only time I've forwarded ports was when I was hosting multiplayer vidya servers and using soulseek. The ban was (allegedly) due to some Mullvad users sharing CP via P2P networks, but don't count me on that.

Is there anywhere to get audiobooks? Any Usenet providers specialise in it? I’d rather not go through the humiliation ritual of a private tracker like a previous user said.

Maybe I'm not looking hard enough, but even the private trackers don't have a proper set of the original Fairly OddParents episodes. They're all missing episodes for some reason.

This might be retarded, but check if you're going to 1337x.to or 1377x.to. My retard moment was when I realized that I once put in 1377x in the address bar and from them on it autocompleted to that for months until I spotted it.

You can also try alternative domains, here they are
1) 1337x.to
2) 1337x.st
3) x1337x.ws
4) x1337x.eu
5) x1337x.se
6) x1337x.cc *NEW*

Private torrent tracker PassThePopcorn (an otherwise excellent site for movies) is celebrating Sodomy Month:

The last paragraph is pretty lulzy though.

I'm not sure if this is the place to ask this kind of thing but I was curious if there is anyway to access a creators discord server that's behind a paywall.
I know usually the pay wall isn't high but I still don't wanna pay cause I just don't wanna.

Without linking to anything (these are easy to find):

For Nintendo Switch roms, I use the Egg NS Emulator website. Been up for awhile, only issue is the links to actually download the games are so riddled with adware garbage, and you cannot proceed if you use adblockers. So just use common sense and be sure to click on the right links when trying to download stuff. Never had any problems, or any undesirables installed on my computer. Get around any file download time limits with a VPN.

Speaking of Nintendo Switch games, if you want to run them on an actual Switch w/ custom firmware, you will need sigpatches to get the games to work. Again, not linking to it, but on GBATemp, there's a thread with Sigpatches in the title, and it's made by a user called "ShadowOne333." I use these on my Switches with no issues.

Also another tip - if you have Comcast, or some other major cable/ISP provider, you will probably get a DMCA notice eventually if you torrent or pirate stuff unprotected. VPNs get around this entirely.

Is there any reason to use this over nxbrew or is it just personal preference? I can just dump their links into jdownloader instead of dealing with the links manually.
Honestly, I use it because it's what I know, and all the other sites for Switch roms I used to use have all been busted by Nintendo's mafia.

My theory is that because this one disguises itself as something different, they haven't thought to go after it. In fact, I'm amazed it's been up for this long, even when getting the new releases so quickly, with no problems.
