What's worse is that, for all their obsession with muh anatomical accuracy, these trannies are downright obsessed with making their animals overwhelmingly obese (projection?) and giving them an overly garish colour palette without any consideration for lifestyle or ecological role. You can justify it with "muh hummingbird" or "muh parrot" only to an extent, because no modern bird or reptile looks like a genderfreak unicorn shat all over on it. This is a problem for two reasons:
1-Even I, a mediocre self-taught amateur have a concept of colour harmony, which these supposed professionals lack entirely
2-It completely voids the premise of "hurr durr accurate art just like real animals" because it fundamentally ignores the role colour plays in predator-prey detection, display, cryptism and a myriad other factors. Your violet T-rex could be spotted by a blind man a kilometer away, if you wanted to draw a realistic rendition of an apex predator, you failed completely.
I will not get into things like obsessively covering anything above two tons in a full feather coat and then becoming hysterical whenever the risk of overheating is pointed out, because that's unworthy of comment.
Note that all of this wouldn't be a problem if modern paleoart were made for art's sake, after all even the greatests artists take liberties. But these people often claim to be professionals who are "bringing prehistoric life back" and draw commissions for money. Yet these people are almost like an autistic fandom where they will paint what can be truly called paleontological fanfiction, and instead of just gracefully admitting "lmao I liked it that way suck my dick" like a normal person, they get into massive spats over accuracy that already isn't there to begin with, nearly getting to the point of crying. These seething sessions become particularly virulent when reality flies in the face of paleoart groupthink: when the first scaly T-Rex skin impressions were unveiled in 2016, the cope was of truly mesozoic proportions. I remember that faggot Trey the Explainer making a cope video where he sounded like he was on the verge of a breakdown.
All of this for a dead animal.
It doesn't get better with the behaviour they choose to portray. The obsession with being speculative and (un)original extends to imagining how these animals lived. Of course, since many paleoartists are fags or trannies and fags and trannies are all coomers, this translates into an epidemic of mating and courtship rituals. Wow man, a scene of two Iguanodon courting where the male inflates a giant pink air sac in his ass! How original, the other 5000 times I saw this the air sac was on his back.
It goes without saying that actually good paleoartists have all been chased away, either because their personal opinions don't jive with the mob's or because they're not "ZOMG ACCURATE AND ORIGINAL!!!!!". An example of this is Emily Willoughby, a great paleoartist who has been essentially ostracized (however, she's apparently a furry with a crush fetish so in retrospective she deserved it for that alone, not her political opinions).
Like a lot of other woke art, examples of which can be found in the SJW art thread, nu-paleoart has this kind of strange soullenness. I cannot describe it, but it's like it feels "neutered", almost as if it's a projection of it's leftist authors complete impotence and insignificance, or it's a result of a creative spirit completely stifled by wokeism. Old paleoart has a dynamism and majesty that is completely lacking in it's modern counterpart. Compare the examples of tranny paleoart earlier in the thread with this. Doesn't it look livelier and more solemn?
Another thing about these tranny paleoartists is their artstyle. They seem to all be trying to ape CM Kosemen's style, but the result is a weird cartoony artstyle that is the equivalent of the anime-like one popular in other SJW art. In the end, it accentuates the "dead" look of modern paleoart. A prime example of this artstyle would be the troonoceratops in
