Metal Gear

Starting little wars with other players in FOB is so fun. The grind to get the good stuff is a pain, but the meta stuff isn't that big of a grind if you know what you are doing and most people don't use them anyway. I think people hate V mainly because they didn't explore FOB that much, can't blame them.

The FOB aspect of MGSV I did really love and it's one of the reasons I'll go back and reinstall the game. Although the ridiculous amount of things required for upgrades is lunacy.

I mean...MGSV came out nearly a decade ago now.

I think you'd maybe be able to play it. It wasn't that demanding at release because it was a PS3/360 game.

I've seen a disturbing amount of people who were somehow surprised at Venom not being actual Big Boss recently and this has exposed how fucking retarded the average Metal Gear player is to me. Seriously, at no point did you ever see Jack with a giant fucking horn in his head with a robot arm. Yet somehow the revelation that Venom is the Medic is a twist to these actual retards?

And I'm not even talking people who played the games in chronological order which could maybe make it more understandable. These are people who started with MG1 and ended with MGV. Like how fucking stupid can you be?

I knew from the jump "that ain't Naked", yet these autistic faggots are all "OH WOWIE GOLLY GEE WHO COULDA SEEN IT COMIN".

Do any of you know anyone who was unironically surprised or have you seen anyone like this? I know it's not just me being unfortunate and coming across window lickers.

Completely disagree with this take simply because for people like myself, I didn't believe that was the direction Kojima wanted to go with because it's completely retarded and unnecessary. It's simply a "twist" Kojima added, because it's Kojima.

Honestly, no.

People correctly called it not being Big Boss from the first trailers. Most people seemed to figure out it was the medic the second Ground Zeroes released and his voice was just Keifers pitched down from what I remember seeing.

The most I ever saw was massive cope from Kojimatards that he was above using the same trick twice. But I never saw anyone that seemed to actually never see it coming.

Of course, this was between like 2012 and 2015 so I was only really on GameFAQs and the Metal Gear subreddit at the time so take that how you will.

Easily the best trailer in the game has you on a medical bed, looking at Big Boss getting revived, and then you can hear:"What about THE OTHER ONE?"


Also fuck me, how is this trailer 11 years old.

I remember this theory was all over the Internet leading up to the game's release but I, too, thought it would be too retarded to just do a switcheroo again after MGS2.
