I've had a coworker that used to sell me weed ask that I bring a scale over just because he didn't have one. Never bought anything harder than that, I wouldn't trust any dealer who got offended if I busted out a scale while buying any drug sold by weight.

I've smoked weed forever and have always had a scale of some sort, from those handheld postal scales, analog ones with a dial, and the last dozen years or so a small digital one, and I've never, ever sold pot, just bought.

I honestly stopped watching Devon when he started talking more and more about tormenting and killing small animals in his "kill corner" and sadistically chuckling while saying this like, "Have you ever experienced that look of acceptance and resignation in the eyes of a cornered animal that knows it's about to die? I have." Devon is a pretty despicable person in his own right.
