Elden Ring

It doesn't matter, man.

They got the shittiest boss in the base game, a boss that was already copied and pasted dozens of times, and decided to put it again in the DLC. This is a fucking retarded decision and I'm already smelling the putrid smell from this DLC.
You hate the game to begin with, I doubt the quality of the DLC matters that much to you.

It actually enhances my own enjoyment knowing that other people are so mind rotted by blackpill and culture war bullshit that they genuinely cannot enjoy anything.

Gonna buy a six pack of Monster zero and enjoy the shit out of this like a true gaming boomer.
Damn straight! I should get my ass into gear with Unicorn Overlord since this is a day 1 play and anything unfinished gets ignored.

I assume the Beastclaws are the 'great' variant of regular claws?

Over all, I'm pretty happy with what's been shown.

This is one of games in my Steam backlog. I meant to get a refund but left it too late.

Please can I have some assurance that there is more to this game than endlessly jumping and rolling around the floor like a complete dickhead.

It’s either this game or Ghost of Tsushima next, once I finally fucking finish Soma.

Jesus Christ, cheer up man. I'll never understand people who describe games in such reductionist terms like this. How do you people enjoy anything?

No, I’m asking ‘is there more to this game than that’ - it’s a genuine question.

I do want to give this a go, it’s just a few reviewers I moderately respect described it as much at the time of release.

I’m not too keen on the Souls games so far. Yes, buying this was probably dumb but you know, Steam sales etc.

I mean, there is. You can swing your sword and block with shield and shoot spell.
I dunno it's still a weird question. It'd be like if I was asking about Quake and I was like "is there more to this game than bunny hopping and clicking the mouse button?"

It's exactly like dark souls with a new world, characters, new spells okay they're the ones from DS with a different name but there have been new ones added. Jump is now a single button press and you get a horse. though the map size is large without the interconnected nature like in 1 but there are some areas that are like that. I think, idk I dropped off after foreskin duo and never got back into it.

Thanks Spud. Jump sounds much more accessible but otherwise, I think this affirms that I should have been a bit more restrained in the Steam sale.

The only Souls/Soulslike game I seem to get on with so far is Sekiro, and even then it’s not something I’m mad crazy about.

Recently Respec'd to INT/FAI and it's the most fun I've had in a while. You get to add much more variety to your magic combos and it's just rad as hell shooting lightning out of one hand and making laser swords with the other. Also, Spinning Weapon on the Carian Regal Scepter is busted, you can combo it with Wrath of Gold and that's generally a death sentence for most PvPers.

I just found out about this thread. I have a question for the DLC. What level should I be for the DLC? Since it starts right after the Mohg, I guess that level 80 - 100 should be just about right?
Anyways, I just hope that they add more INT/ARC spells. It was very disappointing to me that they made a whole subclass of FAITH/ARC spells, the dragon incantations, but then just left the INT/ARC completely barren with just 2 shitty bubble spells.

I am not sure if I will get the DLC. The base games is one of those games I played and beat, but looking back I don't really think it was a good use of my time compared to other games I could have played.

Cyberpunk has tumbled into this category as well. But Elden Ring was much better than Cyberpunk.

Miquella only abandoned everything because he didn't wanna become a woman.
