Same. It's very easy to say you planned an intervention "ONLINE." Also, from experience with actual members of my extended family needing an intervention, you don't just go on a stream and have an intervention. You want to do it right? Show me receipts where you were looking into getting a third party/counselor. Interventions have a better success rate with a licensed professional. Otherwise, addicts see it as a straight up ambush.

I was paraphrasing scripture, but on the topic of epicureanism, I've always had some problems with it. It just seems to be "enlightened hedonism." Hedonic adaption is a major problem for it imo as it leads one to seek greater pleasures as they adapt to new baselines. The common response is to limit ones pleasure to maximize it over time. If that is the optimal strategy, then why put a premium on the pursuit of pleasure at all?
