For those unaware, ZeroCovidCommunity is a subreddit filled with the most brain broken people you may ever see. These people were so thoroughly destroyed mentally by the 2020 lockdowns and panic they think covid is still a major health issue in 2024, and post angry, depressed, bewildering rants daily about how no one takes them seriously anymore even though covid is TEH MOST DANGEROUS THING EVAR!!!!1

These people mask daily and virtually every single one has had covid multiple times, yet they're still insistent that everyone must mask and exile themselves from their families in increasingly antisocial ways. Here are a few threads:

This person straps an N95 to their face for 8 hours a day and wonders why they feel so uncomfortable:

No matter how hard they try, they still get covid, and it turns out it's not the airborne super AIDS they had hyped themselves up for (but that still won't change how they act). This one literally doesn't even report any symptoms whatsoever (covid has become so mild it's very frequently asymptomatic and the only way you know you're even sick is if you get tested):

Of course, these people all go to therapists:

They have a private Discord hugbox which if infiltrated could produce some serious milk (I am far too lazy nor am I ween-y enough to do this):

They take an easily-manipulated Twitter poll as proof that Taylor Swift is KILLING THOUSANDS:

These people are deranged. At this point there is no fixing them. Their minds have been totally buck broken by the covid hysteria from four fucking years ago. Fortunately it's not a big community, but these people are still out there. Luckily they shut themselves in their home so often or self-id with fancy face diapers every time they go out they're easy enough to avoid irl.

revenge on the bully by blinding them with bleach.

The bully's mom was going to press assault charges but she realized how much good was done with those few sprays, the parenting she didn't do, done in just a few seconds, she decided not too call the mounties and instead gifted the girls a halal smoked moose and a couple spare hunting lodges.

My spouse
My spouse
My spouse
My spouse
My spouse
My spouse

It's been since even bcy before current year they've been doing this, are they ever going to get tired of referring to the one they love for life, till death do they part, in the same way a Big Corporation® employee Xmas party invitation would?

I really think all this spouse/partner/so stuff is probably harmful to the mind. And every time you say it is another little addition. Like maybe some or most of these people actually say (maybe have to remember to say) boyfriend girlfriend husband wife in normal company but even having that partner word as an option in your head, I dunno it feels like for that youve got to have something a little bit less for your "partner" than someone who'd never dream to use those words about theirs.

Oldie But Goodie: redditor makes up a story about getting the ultimate revenge on the bully by blinding them with bleach. Imagine taking the time out of your day to make up stories like this to get easy karma and/or stroke your revenge boner. worse yet people are giving her asspats in the replies.
If this were even remotely true, she'd still be in prison even after nine years. Something similar happens in We Need to Talk About Kevin, I suspect she's stolen it from there.

especially the part where he later added the redditor on facebook and said "hey i'm so sorry i was mean to you, i totally deserved being maimed and disfigured for life! thank you for the acid attack!"
who the hell comes up with that shit

Spot on. I never met a non-iranian bahai apart from the spouses of said iranians, maybe that's the situation with that girl. It's an easy and open religion to convert to, they are not too loony either, when talking to them you don't get that vibe you'd get from a JW or some protestant off-shoots. Kinda feel sorry for them getting thrown into the muzzie pot just because they look like sand niggers.
The Baha'i in my city are, uh...pretty eclectic. The majority is made up of old white hippies, and then there are some old black people. One's a Rasta dude. I'd say it's about 20% Iranian at most.

They're prohibited from proselytizing, but...I think they might've worked their way into New Age groups here in the late 80s or early 90s. Gotta be some explanation for that weird demographic makeup.

I know they have a couple of big meetings per year in my country and, from what i heard from the bahai i am in contact with, the demographic there skews younger, 30s to 40s and mostly iranian. Iranians here are well-integrated for the most part, next to the viets the immigrant group with the highest percentage of university education and the like. So-called "model immigrants".

I can definitely see bahai being one of the religions that have a huge allure for old hippies and the New Age crowd, it being very tolerant, very welcoming and "Can't we just all get along?" in style. Basically crack for these old hippies, Krishna and Baghwanism without the exploitation (from what i can tell).

To me, this is the core of what “woke” is when people use the term. Woke is interacting with actual human beings as if you’re in an HR training session. Obviously it’s a term with remarkable flexibility that people use at their convenience for different goals but I believe that is the underlying core of it.

I lean left in a lot of situations and it drives me absolutely crazy that basically no left leaning person can accept this. It should not be a right wing exclusive position to find the expectation that you speak like a press release revolting. There’s a huge opportunity for building bridges agreeing that people should not be little corporations and brands but instead the left insists that “woke” is a fully sincere desire for a just society and thus anyone who finds “woke” uncomfortable must be evil

I said this in another thread but I always thought that the "my spouse/partner" thing was/is a holdover from when fags had to camouflage. Mentally I always assume whoever is using it is a homosexual. I'm sure part of the usage now is that it's "non-gender-conforming" or some nutty shit like that.

Rainn Wilson (the guy who played Dwight on The Office) is Baha’i and that kind of says it all.
The Bahai'i are (or maybe were?) pretty hardcore anti-abortion. I think that limits their appeal among the new age weenie collective.

Though they're nowadays pretty much forgotten, at one time probably the most famous Bahai'i in the world were the 1970s soft rock duo of Seals & Croft. A bunch of top 10 hits, at least one multi-platinum album, etc. In the aftermath of Roe v Wade they wrote a protest song that sounds like it could play in the background at a family restaurant. Until you read the lyrics.

Unborn Child Lyrics

[Intro]
Oh little baby, you'll never cry, nor will you hear a sweet lullabye

[Verse 1]
Oh unborn child, if you only knew just what your momma was plannin' to do
You're still a-clingin' to the tree of life, but soon you'll be cut off before you get ripe
Oh unborn child, beginning to grow inside your momma, but you'll never know
Oh tiny bud, that grows in the womb, only to be crushed before you can bloom

[Chorus]
Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over
Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over
Stop, turn around, go back think it over

[Verse 2]
Oh no momma, just let it be. You'll never regret it, just wait and see
Think of all the great ones who gave everything
That we might have life here, so please bear the pain

[Chorus]
Mama stop! Turn around, go back, think it over
Now stop, turn around, go back, think it over
Stop, turn around, go back think it over

Is spouse really that much of a tainted word? I am ESL and do not see it as anything but another word for husband/wife.

Imo spouse and the others are ok when talking about unknown or hypothetical couples. Hypothetical partners. Like on a company Christmas party invite, open enrollment brochures.

If I was talking about someone I knew and their partner (that was a correct usage there) I would use the normal bf/gf/husband/wife words. Including for gay people, "her wife" is not a string of words that makes me uncomfortable to say like it seemingly does a lot of progtards and a&n posters. Using the ambiguous words about a couple you damn sure know the score of, especially one you're part of is weak faggot shit.

yep, it's the same with ~gender neutral~ they/them pronouns
it can be acceptable to use they/them when talking about an unknown or hypothetical person whose sex is unknown to you. but when talking about a real person whose sex you know, it's always he/she.

"Oh they're over there" is acceptable even when you know the sex of the person.

Spouse is usually on paper work. Partner used to be common but it's become tainted by gay marriage. "This is my partner Jennifer" used to be really common way to introduce your long term girlfriend. It was used by couples who didn't get married but were married in all but paper work. Other half, better half, partner, all ways of saying you're not in the dating stage but you never got married.

The only times I refer to my wife as "partner" it is immediately preceded by "howdy."
My partner (44/nonbinary) and I (24/nonbinary) just moved to South Carolina from New York. Love it here so far but having a hard time finding libraries I can perform drag in. Any suggestions fellow redditors?! Thanks!!
