This is the line where attempts to get people to switch to Linux should stop. If someone sticks with Windows after this, that is not someone you want in your OS userbase.

I hate to burst your bubble but linux doesn't have recall.
Linux has other issues like the recent zlib debacle.
As if winrot wasn't bad enough; now you get an SQLite database that is constantly growing in size. So, do they? Not quite. Windows Recall stores everything locally in an unencrypted SQLite database, and the screenshots are simply saved in a folder on your PC. Here’s where you can find them:
Is there a bigger niggercattle poster on this site?Don't care, as a Zoomer I've been spied on my entire fucking life. Microshaft is just being retarded. And if my choice is pajeet OS vs the Troon OS, better cook up some curry, because i ain't installing Linux, the choice of sodomites
ftfyQ. Are Microsoft a big, evil company?
A. Yes, but that’s insanely reductive. They’re super evil people, and sometimes super evil people make mistakes. What matters is what they do with knowledge of mistakes.
Norton Commander.when i was a little kid watching my mom using MS-DOS I thought there should be a menu. so i should be the billionaire
Yeah just lube up and get ready to take it instead of trying to do anything about it.Don't care, as a Zoomer I've been spied on my entire fucking life. Microshaft is just being retarded. Genuinely curious what games you play that are entirely Windows-based. There's not many that I know of, I'm stuck with Winblows because the game I mainly play use .dlls to interface with other applications on the system and my attempts to fix this in Linux have constantly failed. Otherwise WINE works pretty well for most cases. I'll have to see how it fairs with VSTs since I know those are .dlls and thus also suck ass to use in Linux. As a gamer with a vague technical background, shit like this pains me. My options are limited in the sense that most games I play solo/with friends are Windows-based.
I think the best solution, for those who are willing/capable, is to switch to using some *nix with a decent desktop environment (Linux Mint is a great entry point for this reason) for daily/IRL usage. Then, on a separate device/partition, have Windows installed and use that strictly for gaming. As previously suggested here, you can even try using Boot Camp on a Mac to great effect.
If you're crazy enough about your opsec, you can even go the length of using different email accounts for registering your gaming accounts (Steam/etc).
Yeah it sounds involved and autistic, but what I'm worried about from Microsoft is that by even considering this feature and implementing it, they've demonstrated they're likely/capable to do something like this in the future. I'm giving serious thought to just moving off the platform altogether if they're going to try retarded Big Brother bullshit like this.
well excuse meLinux, the choice of sodomites
I hate it. I changed my wallpaper twice in 10 years (the LHC and the Andromeda galaxy). I don't need "set as wallpaper" on right click. What if I accidentally click it and then won't be able to find my old wallpaper? Just have "change my wallpaper" on right-click on the actual desktop. Maybe make a drag-and-drop area for retards to drag the image file into.there are literally nocoding autists on /g/ that can do the extremely trivial task of right clicking and picking some anime picture as their wallpaper on the desktop to show off their desktop "rice".
Used vista until a few years ago, my brother is ride-or-die with win 7. Lots of factories are still using win 3.1.People that mock others for using Windows XP in the 2020s because "it is unsafe" can go suck a bag of cocks.
I'm sticking with XP.
96% og games run fine on Linux. You need to play CoD or Fortnite so bad you cant just man up and actually switch? As a gamer with a vague technical background, shit like this pains me. My options are limited in the sense that most games I play solo/with friends are Windows-based.

Yep, you're talking to someone who has run such games on Linux successfully. Unfortunately I have a social circle who aren't (all) as tech-savvy as I am. You might not be able to relate there.96% og games run fine on Linux. You need to play CoD or Fortnite so bad you cant just man up and actually switch?

GhostBSD supremacyUhm.... GNU/Linux doesn't have this issue sisters...![]()
My last PC build lasted over 10 years, and I'm hoping for the same out of this desktop that I just built.Sinofsky goes further into why this is being pushed so hard. It's not just Microsoft - it's the PC sector desperate for new PC sales.
