to be fair, the amount of msg you would get from natural sources is laughably small compared to the amount you get when adding pure synthetic msg to your food.
likewise, the amount of natural taurine you would get from eating red meat is something like 50 to 100 mg a day, whereas a single can of monster energy has like 20 times that amount.

personally i dont think either of them are dangerous or toxic, i use msg powder in cooking myself and consider it no more or less healthy than table salt.
