Here's to another 2000 pages of autism for 10k.

There was a brief surge of AI optical illusions of the hololive vtubers on /vt/ in late '23; personally I think the concept is nifty. Could be used to sneak in all sorts of things in seemingly innocuous images.

Nah, it's the forum split that happened during the Keffals saga. A lot of our thread participants went and created a forum specifically for Vtuber discussions, so that they wouldn't get disrupted by the constant ddos/companies dropping services.
(it only took from april 28 to july 15 for the thread to go from 5000 to 6000).

This thread used to just move really fast, we could gain 10+ pages in a day where nothing really interesting happened. Major drama does of course make the thread grow much faster, but It isn't the sole reason the thread is so big. As Nevermore said, the creation of TVA caused the vast majority of content to be posted on there instead of here.

Out of curiosity I decided to see how long it was between each 1000 pages.
1-1000 was 313 days. (May 10, 2020 to March 19, 2021)
1000-2000 was 131 days (March 19, 2021 to July 28th, 2021)
2000-3000 was 88 days (July 28th, 2021 to October 24th, 2021)
3000-4000 was 105 days (October 24th, 2021 to February 6th, 2022)
4000-5000 was 81 days (February 6th, 2022 to April 28, 2022)
5000-6000 was 78 days (April 28th, 2022 to July 15, 2022)
6000-7000 was 139 days (July 15, 2022 to December 1st, 2022)
7000-8000 was 555 days (December 1st, 2022 to June 8th, 2024)

This means the entire year of 2022 took up >3000 pages, while 2023 took up less than 1000. 2022 was a very busy year.

Goddammit, I used to see tons of these with Hitler but now I can't find a single one. Why are all search engines such garbage?

I don't think they were ever tagged as optical illusions to begin with, and people posting them rarely went through the effort of describing their nature as ai-edited images of hitler merged with nature scenes. Making it doubly difficult to find something that wasn't properly documented and is actively censored.
