The code section for drug offender deferred adjudication I quoted (152.1 is separate from the pretrial diversion for treatment courts code section (401.065). It should be the same statewide.

at some level you are correct (weed makes you retarded while stims just pump you up) but with strong stimulants the risk of escalating addiction is enormous, and the damage from that is gigantic.

One of the bigger controversies in American drug policy is that marijuana is Schedule I even though nearly everybody that isn't the DEA agrees it has medicinal uses and is WAY less dangerous than cocaine.

So does cocaine, but the uses are way more limited. It's generally used as a topical anesthetic. But yes, it's retarded that the feds don't recognize the medical uses for marijuana.
