What do Nick's detractors want?
Death or fucking off the lives of his kids and wife Kayla. He is not going to change even if he apologizes and goes to rehab. He is a narc . I grew up with one as a father who abused my mom , me, my siblings and later on my step mom . He will fuck with their kids head , and do all sorts of stuff that will fuck even the most mentally stable person on the planet. I just want him gone from the lives of innocent bystanders as fast possible so they can heal and move on with their lives

As for me, a newcomer, I think accountability and rehab are essential. I also choose option #1 in your post. I am a softie and believe strongly in redemption. Nick was uniquely charismatic, engaging, sometimes intelligent, and entertaining. He is also a selfish junkie and probably a malignant narcissist. Many things can be true, and all that.
Being a malignant narcissist is incompatible with rehab and redemption. Nick has some strong dark triad traits going on. Fortunately for everyone his hedonism doesn't seem to be generally focused on sadism. But he will just keep adapting his copes to avoid taking responsibility.

I don't know what his future looks like because he doesn't appear to have the ability to work a normal job or be accountable. The ODD is so strong and he's also torched his reputation not just among people like us but in his local community too. A Google search will block results from this thread, but the top result is now instead a news article about him being arrested.

It's weird to me that he hated him that much just for the difference in politics with no interaction to back it up.
He's done it before and since. For example, I don't think he knows Asmongold either, but he bitched him out at one point too. In that case, jealously would be an even less likely reason since I think they have completely different audience demographics. When I think Asmongold, I think World of Warcraft.

It makes sense to me he takes a position against Asmongold here because Nick saw Leafy's content as being similar to his own. Nick and Leafy both discuss lolcows. Also, this was back when Nick LARPed as a champion of free speech.

The Legal Eagle stuff comes across as trying to stir up drama (and failing) and playing up "Legal Eagle politics BAD" to the chat to farm donations.

It’s expensive to have a coke habit. Lots of dealers flaking on you and “Awww shiiat mang! I know a guy but it’s EXPENSIVE! Ya feel me?!”

Nick likely got hustled a few times and paid over price because “Yeah mang! Shit is TESTED and shiat!”
Every drug fiend gets ripped off. The desperation of any addict ensures they take what they can get many times. Nick wasn’t comparison shopping. He was driving all the way to Minneapolis to the one reliable dealer he knew and was at his mercy. Nick would have been a good customer but they would have certainly known they could price gouge him.

I know Nick is from the mean streets of Houston with NO white friends, but he wasn’t going to risk trips to black neighborhoods to sample the market or find new connections. He also had money to burn so didn’t need to sweat losing his last $200 on a bunk eightball.

I’d bet Nick started really spiraling once he met the hook-up from the guy he originally bought from. Little dude couldn’t get fronted the amounts Nick was constantly requesting and was probably annoyed Nick was driving up three or four times a week buying everything he could get his hands on. The supplier would be interested in a customer that was ready to pay a few thousand cash every time.

So Nick goes up the chain a notch. He gets handed off to his dealer’s supplier, or his front, someone who could supply a pound or quarter k at a time. The first guy was probably only selling grams or eight balls and Nick wanted more than that since he was driving all the way from Spicer.

It’s a pretty common scenario. Once Nick could get his hands on weight regularly, shit went downhill rapidly.
It was always a bit fucking peculiar. It sounds like a love song directed at someone who purports to be a married man with kids. Who the fuck would spend their time doing something like that?

I'd love to know what the guy who wrote it thinks about him now.

I knew dozens of people who used heroin for years without it ever becoming a significant problem. (Aside from them being heroin addicts, of course.) As soon as they started sucking the glass dick, they started to commit the kind of crimes that invariably end up in long prison sentences. Even the ones that don't go insane on crack are the most boring, self-centred, annoying fuckers you could ever have in your life.

Worst drug ever.
The problem with cocaine is its short duration and no real satisfaction point. Heroin addicts will at least nod out for hours before using again or try to limit their usage into dosages to avoid withdrawal.

Cocaine addicts can just keep using and using. Their appetite is insatiable and bottomless. If there is any satisfaction point for them it’s gone in minutes so they use more. I’d say the only way it could get worse is if they start smoking or shooting it.

Nick is a little different from a typical coke head because he is an alcoholic, which makes it way worse in many ways. Most coke addicts depend on benzos so they can come down or sleep after a binge, but maybe Nick avoided that by drinking so much. After 30 minutes cessation of coke he’d just pass out from ridiculous amount of alcohol he’d been consuming. The cocaine would have kept him up and talking in black out drunk mode for hours - as the anime sneed stream demonstrated so vividly. I’m sure Nick has almost zero recall of that night past 10 pm.

So do you mean he could've started this trend by getting e.g. Kayla to send them from different accounts, up until the rest of the audience picked it up and continued?
Nick Rekeita was never that smart.
It was his politics, mainly. A lot of people who have come to hate/dislike Rekieta still don't like Legal Eagle.

Sean, for example, still throws barbs at him.

Legal Eagle is objectively more successful than Nick, but if you don't like him, you don't like him. Having the biggest channel isn't everything.
I don't think it's just the politics. Legal Eagle followed a more-successful version of Nick's career path while also being a huge blowhard. Legal Eagle was the second person to go down the law-school-straight-to-youtube pipeline, having only practiced as an intern before. However, he had great internships, went to a good law school, and was actually on a very promising career path before he went full time on YouTube (and also as an adjunct law professor). Legal Eagle was always more polished, he was more acceptable to share with your family, and he also knew more about the law. Legal Eagle basically out-Rekieta'd Rekieta (in terms of career path).

I'm not sure he thinks this consciously, but I think he sees Legal Eagle as the same kind of non-practicing YouTube lawyer that we see him as, and I think he knows that Legal Eagle did it better.

I've never lived in Minnesota, but wouldn't it be smart to buy a vehicle with 4 wheel drive for winter driving?
It depends on where you live. AWD or 4x4 will do, even front wheel drive will do. However out in the smaller towns and with long Driveways like Nicks yeah a 4x4 would be the choice. If you're in the city you'd be fine with almost any car. Either Duluth or the Metro Area you'd be fine with any car.

I can't even listen to that song nowadays, knowing what I know now. His return stream scarcely even mentioned his kids. He's a fraud
He was streaming from a place in the house that he never could while the kids were there. Which is seemingly sadder and sicker.

But I guess without the kids around he's free to turn the basement studio into a soundproof fetish dungeon.

coke (especially in freebase form, aka crack) produces a very short high, so you constantly want another dose, and another one, and another one, forever. this is how the coke habit gets so damn expensive.

I can clearly remember the last time I ever took the stuff. I realized I was getting no pleasure whatsoever from the drug. From the moment it entered my bloodstream, I was obsessed only with thoughts of how I could get more cocaine. How I could swindle my friends out of their share. Whether they had money that I could borrow/steal/trick out of them. That short duration induces a kind of monomania that really makes people nuts.

It takes a while before you figure it out because you trick yourself (or the drug tricks you) into thinking it'll be different next time.

But it never is.

A little surprised to not see this mentioned. While I am curious about the state of the house on this bodycam, I am personally more interested in the audio. I want to know just how belligerent he was, I want to be a fly on the wall and hear the real Nick when he’s under pressure and not putting on a mask for an audience. God knows he can’t stop running his mouth and I hope we get something juicy out of it.

It really felt like his "comeback" stream was his attempt at setting up a "stand up comedian" stage in his house. He could have used his phone or easily set up a smaller monitor with his camera and mic temporarily in that room and sat down in his usual chair but he chose to have a huge TV and stand up in front of his microphone.

You're right that he's probably excited about the possibilities now that the kids are gone, there's no way he had the ability to properly LARP as an internet stand up comedian (stage and all) with the kids in the house.
What do Nick's detractors want? (I can't believe I'm quoting Camelot, but sometimes the dumbest people ask the smartest questions.) From mild to severe:
It would be satisfying to see him humbled and penitent for his destructive actions but that's clearly optimistic. The kids and responsibilities are gone so he should pour one out and become legendary stand-up comedian lawyer that he dreams to be.

What do Nick's detractors want?
At the moment? For him to be away from his kids if he wants to dump cocaine and alcohol into his body while having gross impotent sex with his two drugged out women. So I'm getting what I want.

Long term I want someone else to take the kids and try and get them through the rest of the stretch to adulthood without fucking them up further. It took this long for Nick and Kayla to get caught so who knows how long this has actually been going on.

The adults in this situation can either clean up or die a slow painful death through drug/alcohol abuse until their bodies and brains decline to the point where they are zombies, which they look like at this point anyways. The human body is amazing in that it just keeps going and going long past the point most would think it would give out so they've probably got a few good years left before they flop over dead.

Nick is hopeless. No path of redemption, just entertainment and a slow, steady fall until he becomes irrelevant.

I didn't watch the "return" steam until someone like kino casino covered it, he looks like he's melting.
