So if I read this Tweet right:
* Conservative MPs were pushing for an independent assessment of gender treatments during their time in the minority
* Their requests were quashed due to unreasonable opposition from Labour ministers
* When the Conservatives took power, they approved the assessment they'd wanted all along.

I fail to see a problem here, this sounds like the kind of thing that happens all the time in politics.

Yeah but this is absolutely not what happened. The Tories have been in power since 2010! They are the ones (from 2018 under Theresa May) who nearly introduced self-ID until feminists, mostly left-wing, raised a racket and told them "absolutely not". It is feminists, with great difficulty at least until JK Rowling joined the fray who fought a trench war in courts, in universities, in publishing and the media in order to turn the tide. The Cass Review was commissioned in 2020 once the noise from whistle-blowers had become too loud to quell. It is entirely under Tory rule that the trickle of minors being treated for gender dysphoria turned into a tide. The Conservative Party has honestly joined this fight at the 11th hour. The entire idea that they are picking on the transgenders as part of a "culture war" imported from the US is a troon fantasy, 100%.

Badenoch is just trying to get some credit in this, which fair enough she deserves personally, because her party is very likely to get brutally beaten in the coming general election and her political career may well come to an end then.

Big Gay Al is either illiterate or dishonest with his quote tweet. The words "did not want to know" mean Badenoch wants to truth to come out, not a "poltical hatchet job".

This is a good sign for Alex's MPA degree he's currently deep in the middle of. Political parties doing things their opponents are opposed to is a big part of public administration. Figuring this out after his first semester should save him some issues down the road.

Is Bill Gates "just jealous" too? Was the Microsoft ban "pure spite?"

Microsoft has invested billions of dollars in OpenAI. But for a brief time on Thursday, employees of the software company weren’t allowed to use the startup’s most famous product, ChatGPT, CNBC has learned.

“Due to security and data concerns a number of AI tools are no longer available for employees to use,” Microsoft said in an update on an internal website. CNBC also viewed a screenshot that showed that ChatGPT couldn’t be accessed on corporate devices.

Microsoft and OpenAI representatives didn’t immediately respond to requests for comment.

Microsoft briefly restricted employee access to OpenAI’s ChatGPT, citing security concerns

Two of the world’s largest AI companies are warning the public that cybercriminals are currently using AI tools and large language models (LLMs), such as OpenAI’s ChatGPT, to boost their attacks.

Furthermore, Microsoft and OpenAI said they’ve witnessed countries including Russia, North Korea, China and Iran trying to leverage LLMs like ChatGPT to find targets and improve their cyberattacks.

“Our analysis of the current use of LLM technology by threat actors revealed behaviors consistent with attackers using AI as another productivity tool on the offensive landscape,” said Microsoft in a new AI security report released Wednesday in partnership with OpenAI.

Alex either did not read the decision or he did not understand what he read. The Bill Clinton appointed Judge all but admits that he was going to be overturned by the 11th Circuit for his error filled preliminary injunction ruling. He is merely trying to nullify the expected smack down to "own Desantis" before the election and force them to start over with a new appeal.

Strange that our favorite cross dressing legal guru didn't say anything about the Title IX troon rules getting smacked down today.

I mean, yeah, if he thinks OpenAI is a security violation then he probably is mad that Apple didn't use his that he thinks isn't and people could keep using those devices.

Alex thinks no person on earth ever acts in good faith or on their actual beliefs, remember that Alex is telling you about himself.

Probably the two worst defenders of transing kids were conservative MP's Crispen Blunt and Caroline Noakes. Meanwhile Rosie Duffield the Labour MP needed police protection from the 'love is love' crowd.
