Also I just had a payload game against I shit you not, 4 fucking Junkrat's on the enemy team. They need to make Junkrat's grenade launcher do either friendly fire or self damage to stop this, I swear to god I was getting actual cancer just from experiencing it.
The other two players were a Mercy and a Bastion.

Sombra is... i dont know, she remind me of the Recon in Ghost Recon Phantom, Her weapon is a Machine pistol (a uzi for the old fag), her skills are Hack (she can make medpack useless and can deactivate other skills she can even hack turrets), Thermoptic Camo to make her invisible, Translocator that is something between Symetra teleporter and Tracer Recall, and her ultimate is EMP that can destroy Shields and hack everyone nearby, i expect this to be a anti ultimates, as far is im reading she is the perfect counter of lucio now that she can apparently destroy his ultimate
Also it was announced a couple of new maps, one is Antartida and the other is Oasis and a new game mode

Is there a match-system where you're against people of similar experience with that particular game? Or is it a free-for-all learn as you hit the ground running sort of thing?
-I kind of want to play if only for S76, Zarya, and McCree... but I'm not much for multiplayer. Too many "bad teammate taking the game too seriously" experiences, bruh.

As someone who plays D.Va, a Sombra hacking the Defense Matrix is probably going to be up there with heroes I want to sincerely punt off a cliff, up there with Mei and Symmetra.

I'm getting mad pandering vibes from Sombra.
Like I want to love her for her character but I know that Tumblrinas are creaming themselves over her because she's a 'Woman of Colour' who is 'obviously queer' and I can't wait to hear all the self diagnosed mental disabilities and extra granderwierd things they're gonna slap onto her as a 'headcanon'.
And she also has that ugly unblended eyeshadow thing Tumblr has decided was the new fashion.
She also seems pretty OP. Like, even more OP than Junkrat or Mei.
I guess we'll just have to see what she's worth in a game. Story-wise she just looks like a complete Mary-Sue.

To be fair, the tumblr tards took the statement of 'one of these characters are gay' as UGUU THEY'RE ALL GAYYYY GONNA TOUCH MY GIRL DICK MMM CUMMIES! so not much will change in that field at all. Just another face to ship-sperg over. And hell, she has a fun personality and not even remotely as obnoxious as Tracer is. I got a chuckle out of her fuckin with Reaper at the door. Hopefully the other costume colors are easier on the eyes though. Her Los Muerteos costume is a helluva lot better than the default pink and purple vomit.
As for her mechanics, her kit styles her as a disruptor first and foremost whereas damage is secondary. A hero of her style is going to be really nice to help break up super entrenched compositions. But the caveat there is if her team isn't quick on the draw to exploit the window her EMP creates then she's dead weight in terms of overall effectiveness. Hell, hacking medkits will be hilariously dickish by itself and force a battle of attrition on opposition..assuming she lives long enough to create that amount of stress on the team. Widowmaker ult and Hanzo's sonar will shine in keeping Sombra on the defensive if they're good at what they do.
But that remains to be seen, it's pretty much all speculation on my part right now. I'll give her a shot for a bit, if i suck with her? Back to street pig, S76, and juicio.

I gotta admit that her game mechanics may be interesting... Unfortunately, since the only computer I own is basically a toaster, I can't play OW so I just enjoy rolling around in the lore and fanart while watching gameplays on YouTube. It's a sad life, but the computer I'm saving up for will be worth it in the end.
Still, I'm gonna have to deal with the fandom. Just wait until they make sombra a hyperfemme NB with boop/boop/boopself pronouns o/

I'm a D.Va main myself, so yeah, that's not gonna be fun. My s.o. theorized that spy-checking is gonna come into play with Sombra too since the short shows she can go invisible. God help us all if they manage to make her even more annoying than Mei.
The matchmaking tries to pair you up with other players of similar levels, but this isn't always consistent, so it's kind of random unfortunately. You can be facing against a team that is way beyond your skill level or on one that is a complete mish-mosh.
You also have the option of playing against AI, which is what I started with. While you don't get to experience how well actual players on the other team do, it helps with practice, familairates you with the maps and just feels a lot more laid back.

Sombra seems a bit too good, Blizzard again makes a character with no straight weaknesses, she has the ability to "silence" anyone for 6 seconds with huge range and get in/out of fights anytime she wants. I'd say her competitive MO will be:
1-Drop telelocator
2-go invisible
3-sneak past enemy team
4-hack the tanker/support
5-Try to kill someone
6-teleport back before anyone kills you
Her ult is useless by herself but should be gamechanging with a coordinated team. In a game where any ult can change the game, a character that can shut down the entire enemy team is too good to pass. It also ironically makes Sombra her own counter since the Sombra that hacks first wins.
She is pandering but for another crowd, just like D. Va panders to gamers, Sombra panders to hacker wannabe kids. Since these 2 crowds overlap a lot, tumblr already decided that Sombra is a gamer (cause all hackers are gamers i guess?) and she is clearly gay and in love with D. Va.
Too bad for them, Sombra was revealed to be 30 years old, and suddendly tumblr is arguing about "There is no way my badass hot hacker waifu is 30 years old! She must be lying!" and the shippers insist that "It's not problematic to ship her with D. Va because both are grownass women!" (Weird considering tumblr loves to say all D. Va ships are "pedophilia" but for some reason it's ok now?)

I dunno. Her kill pressure seems like a discount Tracer. She can at least set her Recall point wherever she wants, but outside of a really well-played Hack or a good bursting of that annoying Mercy or Lucio, she doesn't seem to be able to do something you wouldn't rather be having a very good Genji, Tracer, or Reaper be doing instead. If Blizzard isn't dumb she'll probably have the durability of Tracer and NotMech!D.Va (i.e. tissue paper), so your windows of opportunity will be incredibly short.
It's kinda like how people think Tracer's kit is OP with her several dashes, high damage output, and ability to shrug off damage and CC with a single ability, and then you realize that she needs to be glomping people in order to do any kind of respectable damage and a useless Tracer will just be off in the background, tickling the tank and either being useless or incredibly dead.

In my opinion Sombra is like a Assault Symmetra, she is planned for flankers aka Genji users, instead of Cyber agility she can get to strange places using her teleporter (i have already theorized a way to use her in el dorado) and also to troll people to death in some maps, ALSO she is a perfect counter for people like lucio, but i already have plans to use to wreckt Soldier 76 deactivating his biotic field, we need to see first what is the extend of her hacking abilities as far as we can tell she can deactivate Roadhog ultimate, but the trailer always lie
Btw my plan to use her in el dorado is in Attack mode throw a teleporter over the wall that gets you near the door to the first checkpoint to wreck people with emp

She has 200 hp, invisibilty and teleport every 6 seconds, a decent player should live long with her. She can also see -40% health enemies behind walls, so you will know when someone is running to heal, and catch them by surprise or hack the medkit. Her uzi has 60 bullets, with 20 bullets -> 160 dps (i heard) and for some absurd reason it has the same range (but more spread) as S76, which means she is quite capable of killing at close range and hurting from long range.
Her hack basically turns the fight into a 6v5 for a few seconds, she doesn't even need to kill them. Tanks and support get screwed enough but most attack gets too. If Tracer,Gengi and Reaper can't escape with recall/reflect+dash/smoke then they die. Even if she obviously can't deal as much damage as those 3, her ult can't be denied by Zen/Lucio/Mercy, if you can teleport in the middle of the enemy team and ult everyone, either they all die or run away.
I personally don't think she will be overpowered because her kit makes her extremely reliant on teamwork and casual players won't use her well but she will still be hated by everyone just like Mei. On competitive play i don't think she is OP either but she might windup like Lucio as "that character that everyone is forced to use". It will depend a lot if her silence is more worthy than a dps character and if her Ult can force a push consistently.

Lucio aura still works despite being hacked, he just can't switch songs. IMO she is the perfect counter for tanks, without shields and barriers your team can wreck. AFAIK she cancels the same ults that flashbang can. Also, her hacking range is huge and there is no way it won't be nerfed, enjoy while it lasts.
