Games you think have perfect soundtracks. - Post 'em, boys and girls.

Bewildered i didn't discover this thread earlier. I do know there was another one about OST's made in the last 10 years. Regardless i'm still going to post the music of Transformers Devastation once more. If i had a favourite soundtrack before, Devastation most definitely has superseded that position with its divine audio. The OST is huge, so i'll share a bunch tracks.

And some other OSTs i possess a penchant for, which i haven't posted before.

Guilty Gear Xrd -SIGN-, Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers, Street Fighter III: Second Impact, Street Fighter III: Third Strike, Fatal Fury 2 (and Special), Tekken 3, Tekken 4, Tekken 5, God of War Ascension, Killer Instinct 2/Gold, God of War II, God of War III, God of War Ragnarök (including the DLC: Valhalla. Týr's battle theme is a blood-pumping banger), Far Cry Primal, Spyro 2: Ripto's Rage!/Gateway to Glimmer, Spyro: Year of the Dragon, Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly, Star Fox: Adventures, Resident Evil 4 (Original), Resident Evil 5, Resident Evil: Dead Aim, and FINALLY, Resident Evil Village.

I forgot: Soul Blade, Soul Calibur II, Soul Calibur V, Mortal Kombat: Deadly Alliance, Mortal Kombat: Deception, and Mortal Kombat 1

Games with perfect 10/10 soundtracks:

- Chrono Trigger
- Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars
- Actraiser
- Donkey Kong Country SNES trilogy
- Gundam Battle Assault 1 & 2 (PS1)
- Star Wars Jedi Knight: Dark Forces 2 (although the music is straight ripped from the John Williams score, still)
- Star Wars Knights of the Old Republic

I guess no one is a fan of the Halo 2 soundtracks? The music from it helped immortalize the original trilogy for me.
The C64 version of Ghosts & Goblins has different music, and it's as good (if not better) than the console version's music.

If you like Chrono Trigger/Cross music, check out the soundtrack to Tsugunai Atonement with music also by Mitsuda. It fits more with Chrono Cross than Trigger, but it's really good.

The soundtrack for Labyrinth of Zangetsu is really good and moody. Unfortunately it's not one file, so here's a playlist.

Silent Hill 1-3, not for the beautiful breaks of actual score, but for ambiance tracks that are genuinely more terrifying than the enemies.

And, I can't believe no one's mentioned it, but Outer Wilds and it's DLC had some stunning tracks, one of which functioned as 'times up' warning to the player.

Sticking to the sci-fi electronic theme I'd also add portal 2 where the tracks blended seamlessly with the sound effects that went with players actions.

Inscryption had some brilliant tracks and themes that really fit the characters you playing against too, not bad at all for an indie title.

And an honorable mention to Buckshot Roulette and Anger Foot for going 'ard.

Edit: I just remembered Soul Reaver and Tomb Raider 1 exists and am adding them for nostalgia sake. I miss the old ps1 electronic choir.

Glad to see my thread still being used for good soundtracks.

Nostalgia bait soundtrack post, but I think the game would lose it's arcade appeal without these silly tracks.

Katana 0 has a great ost collection.

Speaking of Wrestling and meme tracks

The Lawnmower Man for the SNES...it has a very moody soundtrack based on dark '80s-style synths...it almost sounds like something Depeche Mode would make, or synthwave before the genre had a name.

The game itself is actually pretty interesting and fun to play despite being based on a bad movie. The only reason why a lot of people tend to dislike the game is that it is VERY hard.

Pretty much the whole Armored Core series has great music, but AC4 in particular delivers a consistent streak of bangers:

God bless, Kota Hoshino. You weird, wonderful man.

So let me tell you about this game...

It's a puzzle game where you shoot colored bubbles at other colored bubbles that come towards you. The goal is to match 3 or more of the same color to clear them, You can select up to 4 characters and they all have different special attacks that you power up by filling up your meter the more of a specific color bubble you pop. There's also other types of power-ups that get stronger the more power-up[ icons you collect (and if you don't use them right away... I think 10 is the max level).

You wouldn't think a simple puzzle game like this would have a fucking amazing techno/dance/trance soundtrack, but it does.

PS1/GC/XBOX/PC:

Even the GBA version soundtrack is surprisingly good:
