I think the "ugly wahmen" epidemic in video games is massively overblown, and it's because the gamer demographic is rife with incels, porn addicts, e-nazis, and various other types of genetic sewage that barely get to see women in real life. The female characters they're losing their shit over just look mundane to me at worst, which shouldn't be a big deal (the only exception I'll make is Abby from The Last of Us), but the howling and screeching from "gamers" would make you think they were being forced to look at their own reflections. MJ from Spiderman 2 looks normal as fuck, but n0o0o0o she looks 60, she must be a tranny no0o0o0o the west haz fallen the west haz fallen!!!

Girls are starting puberty younger and it's thought to be due to a variety of factors (industrial pollution is one but increased stress and obesity are also thought to be factors). However, children that have started puberty are still children. I was an early bloomer and was pretty disgusted by the thought of having sex at 13, and was way more interested in normal kid stuff like anime. And of course deeply uncomfortable with being sexualized by adults and the way they tried to force me from my childhood.
There's a known correlation between early puberty in girls and increased risk of sexual abuse. The idea that girls are no longer children and are acceptable targets for adult sexualization the second they grow boobs (no matter how young they actually are) is disturbingly widespread and has devastating consequences. But ofc incels would openly engage in that shit and other pedophilia.

Honestly, I think the most annoying parts of the whole "ugly women" in video discourse is :
1) When you ask incels and porn addicts what would be their ideal female video game character, it's either this weird amalgamation of a woman with asian or anime features but they feature westernized elements such as their eyes, face shape and nose. (ex. Dead or Alive female characters or the Stellar Blade chick) or hyper feminine woman with hideous amount of make-up, because their perception of womanhood is so twisted that they think a woman with minimal makeup or without it is SJW feminazi propaganda.
2) All of them lying out of their ass by saying how they totally liked how western female video game characters were depicted 10 years ago and going "We had it sooooo good!", never mind the fact that 10 years ago, they were calling female characters from western games potato faced/ugly and constantly comparing them to female characters from Japanese video games.

And of course, they will tell you how women must be hot in video games because those video games are their escapism and when developers add "homely/realistic" women it ruins it for them because it reminds them of real life, how women that want female characters that while are attractive don't want them to look complete strippers are just bitter fat jealous hags.
Despite the fact that, any time a male character that isn't a roided macho le sigma gigachad they like or approve of gets attention from female players, they start seething about how women have an impossibly high expectations for men and show signs of jealousy by acting in the most passive aggressive smarmy homosexual way. A good example of this is behavior in action was with Baldur's Gate 3, when that vampire twink became the object of women's attentions online. For every woman thirsting for him, there was a man seething and insulting women for liking that character.
