One of the most amusing things about this election has been dipshit college kids and media leftists pushing the idea that Trump will literally become the next Hitler and start chucking brown people into camps if he's elected. Does anyone really believe Trump is intelligent or charismatic enough to be the next Hitler?![]()
And yet we've been seeing more post touting the inevitable demise of the GOP as a viable political party than you'd have heard at fucking Woodstock. The Republicans aren't going anywhere. Believing otherwise is magical thinking. The sooner new/youngish Democrats let this sink in, the sooner they will realize the only reliable way of pushing through important liberal causes is through good faith negotiation with your opposition and not pretending you rule the world through fiat and crying when you realize you don't.The current situation:
Should Trump win the presidency and the Republicans take the majority in the Senate, they will have the executive and legislative branches tied up handily. From there, the judicial branch is still functioning at reduced capacity with SCOTUS currently running on 8 seats and other seats looking at vacation due to potential deaths or retirements in the near future. Potentially, the Republicans could gain strong footholds in every branch of government .
- The odds over who will control the Senate are effectively up to a coin toss now, 50-50.
- Trump is gaining ground on Clinton for the presidency
- For this election cycle, the House is simply a lost cause for the Democrats. They can do nothing with it for the moment given that the break they were hoping for to win some pushback there has not come and undoubtedly won't come this time around.
If Hillary manages to lose (which is possible) and the Democrats lose the Senate (which is very possible), the Democrats will be fresh out of clout for some time.
Given that the presidential candidate is traditionally the leader of the pack, I'd say Hillary's performance as the vanguard for the Democrats has been less than stellar. But hey...

The harsh truth is the majority of these people like the German and Irish immigrants before them vote Democratic for gib me dats and not much else. Once they start becoming a majority the Democratic agenda is in serious trouble.

The Democrats have also got to stop thinking that every person with dark skin is automatically going to accept an extreme left agenda just because they're not white. The majority of recent American immigrants are from Mexico, do the Democrats really think the people who come from the country that coined machismo will enthusiastically endorse feminist shit? Once Muslims become a substantial part of the population will they clamor for abortion on demand and free the nipple? This is autistic as shit, yet I love it.This thought occurred to me earlier today and cracked me up, so please enjoy this Election Day fanfiction I wrote about it.

Hillary Rodham Clinton stepped onto the stage, tears blinding her eyes while the roar of the crowd deafened her. She had done it. She had finally, finally done it. Decades of waiting, of countless favors, of dirtying her hands and selling out her morals had finally paid off. She was the first female president, and her name would live on in the annals of history.
Hillary stepped up to the mike to deliver her acceptance speech. "My fellow Americans, I am humbled and honored to stand before you today as the FIRST. WOMAN. PRESIDENT," Hillary began, waiting for the applause to die down before she continued. "The road has been long, but finally we-"
Suddenly, the lights cut off, causing the crowd to cry out in surprise. A split second later, the stage lights came back on, only now they were a disturbing, eerie red. A swirling column of smoke erupted onstage, the sulfuric smell it gave off causing many in the audience to choke. Finally, the smoke cleared, revealing a tall, thin figure wrapped in a cloak as black as night. It was wearing a featureless, horned mask to conceal its visage, although a bright red light shone through each of the eye holes.
"N-no... it can't be... what the hell are you doing here?!" Hillary screamed in total horror.
"But Mrs. Clinton... oh, I'm sorry, Madame President, have you really forgotten our agreement?" The masked, cloaked figure's voice was absolutely terrifying, striking fear into the hearts of every man, woman, and child present. The crowd began to flee towards the exits in a panic. Casually, the terrible intruder waved a hand, causing all of the doors to slam shut and lock.
"Oh, I remember alright," Hillary began. Initially she had thought of denying her connection to the fiend, but instinctively knew that she would only provoke it. She knew all too well what it was capable of.
"But I also seem to remember that you promised me the presidency, Beelzebub," she said, practically spitting the name. "So what are you doing here?"
"That's exactly right, Madame President. I promised you the presidency as part of our agreement," the figure known as Beelzebub said with a certain levity. "But I don't recall ever saying how long you would remain in that position. And now, I'm here to collect the debt you owe me."
"No... no, no, no, NO!!!!" Hillary was in an utter and complete panic right now. Casting one final look at the audience that was still frantically pounding on the exit doors, she took off across the stage and towards the emergency exit.
"What are you so upset about, Hillary? You got what you wanted. From now until the end of time, you'll be remembered as America's first female president. I'm sure that knowledge will comfort you in the eternity you spend in my domain."
With that, Beelzebub disappeared into thin air, only to reappear in front of Hillary a split second later. Grabbing her, he spun her around in some kind of macabre waltz as she screamed. Faster and faster they spun until they became a blur, smoke rising from the floor to embrace them. The audience stopped its desperate escape attempts, staring in complete shock and horror at the scene before them. The stench of sulfur grew stronger as the column of smoke reached higher, Hillary's screams reaching a fever pitch.
And then, as suddenly as it started, it stopped. The eerie red lights cut off, drowning the venue in darkness before the bright, normal lights blinked back on. Yet Hillary and Beelzebub were nowhere to be seen; only the rapidly dissipating scent of sulfur gave any indication that what happened had been real. Utterly panicked, the crowd shoved against the doors once more, falling right through them as they were unlocked. They ran away from the venue, screaming and scattering in all directions.
Beelzebub was right. Hillary was remembered as the first female president for many years to follow. But she was also remembered for teaching the world a very valuable lesson:
The Devil always, always collects his debts.
The GOP does have a demographic problem but it's almost entirely a marketing problem. There's no particular reason why your skin color should relate to economic policies or even most social issues. It's just that the GOP has successfully been painted as the White Supremacy party and aren't doing enough to fight that. Not gonna lie, these are pretty optimistic predictions. Personally I still think the GOP is in some trouble especially in terms of demographics. However I think once those demographics start to get older they'll start leaning more towards republicans. I think the GOP has economic policies spot and they should really try differentiating themselves from the dictatorships those immigrants left.
I hope a few democrats shit their pants and do nothing, this is what they deserve after sabotaging Bernie so foully. Who would have most likely been more popular than Hillary.
2009: Hillary asks Colin Powell how he managed to get around federal laws on classified information being stored on insecure devices. Colin Powell explains to Hillary in excruciating detail how and why he did it.
Too little, too late.
Or if you read her actual e-mail, that she wanted to know how she'll be able to use her Blackberry at work.Boy, this almost makes it sound like a certain somebody wasn't "extremely careless", that maybe they were even "grossly negligent"...or maybe they intended to bypass federal law!
Oh, my mistake then. That's not methodology then because it assumes those statistics (turnout, preference) are constant over elections. Those variables from past elections can certainly inform models, but if that's all there was to it there would be no need to have polling, or even campaigns, for that matter.
