Is the Beauty Parlor ruining site culture?

The few times I've checked up on a BP thread, it didn't strike me as anything that much different from the main site. I can't fathom why someone would complain about women having their own place to gossip about other women, on a gossiping site and when they rarely cross over into the main site itself.

The cow threads are fine, mostly. The ones I visit anyway, but the "site culture" stuff coming from there is all cringey. The man/woman hate threads are self-embaressing bullshit for five year olds, I honestly have no idea why they are tolerated here, especially since they seem to take up a totally inordinate amount of the mods' time on top of being totally without merit on their own.

I liked BP a lot when I first joined, eventually I stopped browsing BP when I realised that the cows there make me genuinely angry and put me in a bad mood. I've enjoyed the site a lot more since I've decided to focus on cows who make me laugh rather than women who hurt their children. Regardless, I'm happy BP exists and the retarded shit these women choose to put online is documented and discussed.

BP itself isn't the problem and it wasn't for most the time it existed. It became a problem when a-loggery was normalized and it invited some very smug and annoying users creating a Reddit-tier echo chamber of terminally online women

This appears to be the real issue for the most part. Normalization of turtling up and building reddit style echo-chamber protected spaces for the most annoying of posters is probably just going to cause problems down the line.

I don't use/browse BP that often and don't see this supposed drama that often. Seems like some posters there simply can't handle interactions with other users and other users can't help but feed their BPD brains with responses.

The issue is the gender gap in retarded slapfighting. Instead of a proper 1:1 gender ratio, it's more like 10:1 or even higher with a disparity towards men. Rather than men and women pairing off and having one-on-one slapfights, it's several or even dozens of men slapfighting with one woman at a time. Not very many women are interested in wading into the muck of slapfighting retards online, but unfortunately an easy solution is just not possible. Funding must be made available for the brightest minds to research an answer to the slapfighting gender gap question. It may take years, even generations, but I believe a future where men and women slapfight in equal numbers in the Beauty Parlour is possible. Only then can true equality be achieved.

I don't even blame the BP for this entirely either, because soon after it forced a bunch of other cliques to form. But it is where most of the bullshit comes from right now. I don't think it's fair that QnA got the blame for declining site culture either, it was the last place where you could have some casual retarded fun. Now it's just politics and gender wars.

I dunno, I feel like the site is kind of cliquish by nature, the big difference is usually the cliques can get along just fine in the rare instance of an overlap. When you have women who actively despise men in general though they're naturally going to run into friction with male users on the site.

Not to say the guys are totally blameless, there's definitely been incels who actively go out of their way to provoke female users, but still.

I don't know how you really solve it aside from picking a side or banning problem elements, neither option sounds very appealing though and feels like it would be in opposition to the spirit of the site.
