Matthew Patrick / "MatPat" / @MatPatGT / The Game Theorists / The Film Theorists - Just a homosexual theory: Everyone is a HATER?; Plagiarism & Clickbait King

Im sure next couple of years we're gonna see the second gen of youtube quit, looking forward to mark jack and felix quitting next, probably.
The overwhelming dread of realizing how bad the "new" generation of content creators is going to be.

Is there even anyone to be a "face" of it? All content on youtube is now so homogenous that I think a bunch of creators having enough stage presence to be the "face" of creators is dead. (AVGN, Pewdiepie, etc.)

I tried to think of some and that queer ranboo, that purple retarded youtube shorts chick, and suicide king hbomberguy came to mind and I almost wanted to eat lead then and there.

This is full soy, nothing of value was lost, most people on the internet dont like him and as much as I feel bad that another old internet guy is gone, hes a zoomer panderer. I dont care. Edit: I saw the video completely, that Lee guy is gonna troon out, Id place bets on that.
What are the different Youtube generations?

Its not that its homogenous but everything is popular now and when everything has its own niche, nothing is "popular". Back in the day there was a clear hierarchical strata of popularity, now there isnt partially cause youtube is much bigger than it even was in 2016 and partially cause "all content is equal". DreamSNP is not popular anymore, jellybean is in her own niche and breadtube will exist as long as the internet exists, communists are like cockroaches you will find them everywhere and they can survive nukes. Also at the end of every generation the youtube cycle restarts as every respected creator starts getting acclimated into the mainstream and part of that process is the sludgification of their content/identity as they become a part of the machine. I experienced this first hand with Pewdiepie, Pyrocynical and Mutahar all of whom became trash not necessarily because I outgrew them but because they neutered themselves as they became more popular, amicable and corporatized.
What are the different Youtube generations?
2006-9 - Random vids, internet reviewers, skits
2010-2014 - Lets Plays, Newgrounds shit, even more skits, Atheism
2015-2019 - Commentary/gameplay commentary, skepticucks, Buzzfeed/survey reviews/similar shit
2020+ - Video Essays, Investigation shit, Politics spergery

I'd say this happened as early as 2018 and have gotten worse
Before 2020, there were a miniscule amount of breadtubers making a small amount of video essays. Since 2020 every two bit hack has got in on the breadtube trend from niggers to faggots to women, even fucking video game video essays skyrocketed after 2020. Video essays went from being a niche breadtube thing to being made by turkeytom and pyrocynical.

By the time the St. Floyd riots have began to burn down nearly almost everything in the nation, content creators on social media (especially breadtubers) jump onto the bandwagon by going lefty with their intense political sperging and have gotten worse overtime with the likes of Jan 6th, Stop Asian Hate, Ukraine, Palestine/Israel, etc. that even a lot of their respective audiences have ended up opening their eyes and no longer support these lefttubers

I thought his last video would be like a compilation of his "best" moments and thanking fans or something, didn't expect him to talk about actual game theory.
I stopped watching him a while ago but the ending with him hanging the jacket and exiting the room did give me a little bit of emotion, don't really know what to call it since it was not sadness, but its sort of the end of an era, I wonder how long people like Markiplier and JackSepticEye will remain before they too retire.

The first theories with the new hosts will be premiering over the next six days, as announced & dated on the respective channel Community pages, starting with Game Theory on Saturday at 2PM EST - I'm quite interested to see if the premieres or subsequent videos see relatively low viewership.

The premiere will definitely have inflated viewership and a spam of "You're just as good as MatPat!" and then viewership will fall off steadily after. The channels will never be dead, but for Game Theory proper I would guess within a year they average 600k - 1m views per video on the very high end versus multiple millions on every one.

I agree that there is a lot of initial hype & sort of ungenuine support, I'm really unsure how the channels will fair over time however. The new hosts so far, from Game Theory & Film Theory, seem to be trained in Mat's hosting style & they do the part right atleast - albeit Lee has a noticeably lower energy which the comments are praising as "soothing".

It's something that MatPat handled really well for his part - it's a near perfect execution of selling a youtube channel.
