This conviction only happened because enough people on the Right raised hell about the sweetheart deal Hunter was originally going to get.

It won't change anything election-wise, but it may give the System the talking point of "see? It's not rigged against you. Chuds!" It allows them to maintain a facade of legitimacy for a little while longer.
exactly what i was thinking. such an obvious 'see? look! we put the guy with pictures of him smoking crack in a 6 month prison sentence because we're totally unbiased!'

it's all panem et circensus.

The laptop, that we were assured was fake, isn't fake, it's real.
It's been a common trend among the Lugenpresse this year to grudgingly admit that many of the "conspiracy theories' of the "far-right" the last few years were true all along.

They're feigning contrition during an important election year in the hopes that the masses will just forget about what they've done.

I kind of wonder what the unseen damage of the laptop being used as evidence after the same DoJ/Intel Orgs said it was fake. I suspect most normies either have not heard about it or are still coming to terms with the facts that they gladly gobbled up a shit sandwich.

I do not expect them to riot in the streets but I do wonder if it is going to quietly peel off support for the left since they were the ones who spent a month screaming it was Russian disinformation and here are these total trustworthy spooks to confirm it.

Of course some will say none of the other stuff caused support to dwindle so why would this...I guess.

If they're shitting their britches over the thought of Trump coming in, to the point where they're not slagging him off, i'll see that as a good thing.

Still, with only a super short deliberation usually meaning a not guilty verdict it's surprising. Especially with Jill Biden there to remind them who's got the power in the state.
I am just glad that Dr. Jill got to be first lady like she always wanted.

They didn't even have to come back to ask the judge for clarification on the current conviction rules! Totally the same kind of lawfare, all should be forgiven.

I'm not gonna be smug about it; there's nothing to gloat about when you have to move Heaven and Earth just to make the System pretend to not be corrupt.

I mean, that was the entire point the whole time. The fact is that everything Trump is getting charged for, he could have been charged for years ago. Everything Hunter was charged with, he could have been charged with years ago. Instead, they charge Trump at the last minute before an election, and throw in some "friendly fire" they've been sitting on for years to give the appearance and narrative that "we're not just targeting one side here!".

And people are definitely stupid enough to fall for it.

That's the possible silver lining. Fewer and fewer normies trust the institutions.

Trump wasn't the cure, he was the MRI. He was the first taste of true opposition in generations to a system that has grown complacent and accustomed to always getting its way.

When you're used to having public trust, being told that your shit don't stink, and never being held accountable in any way that matters, someone with power and influence barging in and screaming "YOU SUCK!" looks like "extremism" and a "threat to Democracy™️".

The Establishment didn't know what to do, other than lash out at all perceived threats to its hegemony.

You know that saying, "you can't get a man to understand something when his salary depends on him not understanding it"? That's them. Their wealth and power rests on the assumption that it's all legitimate, that they're the smartest, most competent, most deserving people in the world. They truly believe that they are royalty in all but name.

To question their perceived right to rule, even when you spell it out in the law that they themselves claim to hold sacred, is to attack them personally.

They aren't merely sore losers. Trump caused the most powerful people on the planet to collectively have an existential crisis. That is an extremely dangerous thing to be on the receiving end of.

Because the trial has legally said "This thing that people were banned for on social media, that the MSM ran defence for and FBI listed people as Russian agents, is actually real".

The laptop, that we were assured was fake, isn't fake, it's real.
Now, we knew, and know, that the laptop is real. But what about the normies, the media? Where's the discussion?
For me, that people aren't kicking up a stink is confirmation that everything is theatre.
The Media is a direct ally of the Biden admin, and they're terrified cause everything they threw at Trump only delayed him for 4 years -- 4 years that everything went to shit in and they can't seem to convince people it's not really happening and anyway it's Trump's fault.

No, they're not talking about the laptop they intentionally ignored cause it would have cost Biden the election in 2020 even with the massive amount of rigging they did.

No, they're not talking about the laptop that contains direct evidence that the leader of the Democrats was embezzling money through his crackhead son.

If this surprises you, it shouldn't.

Hunter becomes bitter about dad not pardoning him so becomes a MAGA guy and ends up being the VP pick.
Not going to happen after the massive investments Hunter's business partners made in the Biden family. The president would just put his son in a rowboat with a trusted bodyguard for a little fishing.

Missionaries don't give the faintest of fucks for Christians as they're already Christian and thus can't be converted into Christian. Hence the drive to go elsewhere and bugger other pagans people's shit up by looking for new convertees to add to the flock.
Yeah, but there's people in this country they could be trying to either convert or bring back into the fold, if converting people is their goal. Failing that, they could try and convert people in Europe, (which is becoming increasingly secular and irreligious) or the better parts of east/northeast Asia, (which is largely not christian and would thus be good turf for missionaries to try and claim or whatever) that said, even if they insist on trying to convert people in the global south, there are better places to go than fucking Haiti ffs.

“Upon full review, [Trump’s] Motion [to dismiss] is DENIED for this overall reason: the identified deficiencies, even if generating some arguable confusion, are either permitted by law, raise evidentiary challenges not appropriate for disposition at this juncture, and/or do not require dismissal even if technically deficient, so long as the jury is instructed appropriately and presented with adequate verdict forms as to each Defendants’ alleged conduct.”

The judge also struck out the part of the indictment where Trump is alleged to have waived classified documents before a reporter.

The court also decided that much of the indictment is bullshit, but Trump didn’t use specific words in claiming it is bullshit, so he has to file “it is bullshit” motion again.

Overall, call me optimistic, but things are looking pretty good (given the indication by the judge that he wants large portions of the indictment deleted)
