Phil’s identity is based on what gets him brownie points and whatever his interest at the time is.
Remember when he was just a Gay Man? Or when he was Jewish and fiercly supported Israel? Or when he was Shinto? Or when he was Satanist? Or when he was a Lesbian obsessed with bikes? Yeah it changes because its like a Child wearing a costume. He likes something just enough to claim it and wear it like a badge. Then he Will inevitably hang it back up and Go back to his default which is being a Maoist (an ideology he doesnt understand), transfemme (lol), Anti-Establishment (despite being on welfare), person of color (he is White though).
He actually likes the attention even when its negative because that gives him points to Show just How oppressed he is. He can Then Show this to other people Who feel oppressed and say “Oh you think you have it bad? Look there is an entire forum dedicated to stalking me and they even tried to kill me a few Times”. Phil wants a legendary status and I suppose he did obtain that, just not in the way he wants.
Jung had a theory peoples primary motivations in life are Love and Fear. For Phil it is just Fear. Maoism is an exotic ideology that makes him look tough. So he just runs with it. I dont believe in Far Left politics but I have studied them. It would make a lot more sense for Phil to follow some form of Social Democracy if he really is on the Left and has his lifestyle choices. I really do see the “Good Ending” for Phil as him working for the Department of Transportation under a Democratic Presidency. No tattoos and no piercings and sort of just ignoring that he made cringe shit on Deviant Art and dumb videos when he was younger. Just like Robert Stiles he would be forgotten after a while and even I would be like “Oh Yeah! Phil! Geez wonder what that Guy is up to these days”. Find out he was now okay, and drop the subject.

I remember when he was claiming Latinx heritage a lot and some people called him out on not being able to speak Spanish amd what did he do? Get improper Spanish tattooed on his body. Now you could be a total Gringo, and Love Latino and Indigenous Culture and just say that even though you arent part of this Community you really do want to protect it.
