That’s what they believe, and it follows from the beliefs that there are no races, and everyone starts out as a blank slate.

And if you showed them this thread (though you’d have to strap them to a chair to get them to look at it) they would say, at every example of blacks behaving badly, “there are white people who act that way too”

…which is true… in the same way it’s true that there are golden retrievers who have bitten people. But that’s not really a rebuttal of the fact that there’s a problem with pitbulls. If I show you 1000 videos of pit bulls murdering children and all you can say is, “sometimes golden retrievers bite people” that just means you’re an idiot.

On Reddit, I’ve seen them deny that dog breeds are real. I suppose they have to deny it in order to preserve their fragile worldview.

Last Sam vid I saw, he was hanging around some nigger "comedian" on the podcast and going fishing with him. Acting like the dude was hilarious. So was Nick. (1) none of those things is related to intelligence. I realize that is completely ignoring the point you're making. Again, I'm just letting you know what they'll say.
(2) those differences (skin color for example) are on a spectrum. The claim here is that because there are gradations, you cannot make statements about averages. It's like pointing out that height varies millimeter-by-millimeter from one person to the next ...so therefore you cannot say "men tend to be taller than women."
(3) race isn't real. Since you pointed to differences in hair color, you are likely to get a response that points out that there are hair color differences within the group you're calling "white people" and you'll get a claim that, if whites are different from blacks due to (in part) hair color, then all these groups of white people are also different races ...which the lefty thinks renders your argument moot. It's a bit like saying that golden retrievers are different from poodles, so therefore you can't claim that pit bulls are violent.

If you imagine a concrete floor with some minuscule bumps and depressions making it not perfectly level, then you pile 150 rugs on top of it, the resulting surface is entirely due to the rugs, and it makes no sense to even discuss a tiny bump in the concrete below.

The lefty is going to point out that IQ is effected by things like nutrition. And they're right ...but we can control for literally everything with statistics, so we know very precisely the extent to which nutrition contributes vs. the genetic contribution. But that's what the lefty is going to say.

Oh an also, they'll say that IQ isn't real. "Isn't real" as well as "not scientifically valid" and the old standard, "a social construct" are some of their favorite memes in support of the blank slate.

We had to stop letting female staff work where they were cause the South Africans would get behind the desk sit next to them and take pictures/videos of them saying they're going to "show their friends later."
I had one guy drunkenly tell me he was from the same area Mandela was and how he loves Johannesburg. It took everything in me to not try to be cute and ask him how the toilet towers are.

They might not be the most openly vocal, because Western countries generally value politeness, but their views are well-represented among the general public.

Just today, I was in the metro and an African man (who I would be VERY surprised if he had papers) sitting near me started laughing out loud and I could hardly breathe from the stench. It was only when he stood up that I noticed he had pissed all over himself and the seat. Somehow, he managed to be more repulsive and filthy than the drunks in the metro at midnight. People are so tired of putting up with this sort of behavior, even if they're too courteous to get into a shouting match in a crowded public space, like how somebody from their own culture would have dealt with the.

Okay, the statement "there's more variation within the group than between the groups" is a fallacy because "variation within the group" includes outliers at many standard deviations. Thus, pointing to those outliers, and noting that the distance between the two far ends of that bell curve is greater than (and what they're saying is true - the distance is greater) than the distance between the two populations' statistical means ...pointing to that does not rebut the claim that the populations themselves exist.

After all, this statement is true of everything. For example, among men, the variation in height ranges from as low as 4'6" to as high as 7' - a difference of 2'6"

But the difference in mean height between men and women is only 6 inches. So the variation within the group called "men" is five times greater than the variation between the groups, "men" and "women"

...and yet, men are taller than women.

so if you claim, "men are taller than women" and someone fires back with, "height is just a social construct, and besides, there's more variation in height within each group than there is between the groups" - that person is making a fallacious argument.

This (fallacious) argument even has a name: Lewontin's Fallacy, named for Richard Lewontin who was among the first to claim that there's no such thing as race. He was the first to use it.

I used height as an analogy because it's easy to see, but when talking about race, what we're actually talking about is DNA. And when you want to study variations in DNA, you use a statistical tool called a "principle component analysis." Using this tool, you can actually tease out exactly the racial categories that people invented before knowing what DNA was. Check it out:

This is not something you would expect to be true a-priori. It's also not something you would find if you were actually wrong about your categories - for example, if I claimed that Yankees are categorically different from Southerners, I would not be able to prove that using PCA (because it's not true).
