Yeah, the Supreme Court is one of the few institutions they don't control, so they're trying to discredit it. So that when the majority conservative court inevitably make decisions that benefit Trump, they can discredit those too.

There's no indication he stopped for a while/at all and the indication is he kept going while it was doing permanent damage to his heart. The Tea Party brought this to attention more then a decade ago. It's not around anymore. If anyone here is very, very concerned about the financial situation of the United States as a country, just be aware it's generally not a good idea for any politician to talk about cutting funding or spending right now.

Maybe someone could get rid of "wasteful" programs and projects but going anywhere beyond that will generally be met with extreme push back from most voters and has a good chance of costing someone an election.

The entire point of being elected to national office is to network with very large corporations and their lobbyists for bribes. That's what cocktail parties means. They don't want to be cut off from the funds they need to remain elected and to buy their 4th mansion and the kushy industry job they'll get after retiring or put their kids and family members in. Oftentimes these funds they're bribed with are literally taxpayer dollars filtered through some program that exists just to filter taxpayer dollars back into the politicians (with a bit off the top for the middle men).

To wit, everyone knows Hunter Biden was embezzling foreign aid money from Burisma in the Ukraine. Not as many people know that Romney and Pelosi had kids or family members working for the exact same company in the Ukraine during the same timeframe.

They all do it, and they'll kill every single one of us and turn the ashes of the country and it's people to glass before anyone forces them to stop.

This is also why they outsourced the actual act of governing to unelected deep state pencil pushers -- because doing their job gets in the way. That's one other reason they'll start murdering SCOTUS judges before they let them take out Chevron.
