this is another aspect of this issue. some games that contain a nonzero amount of wokeshit are actually worth playing. for example, Alan Wake 2, whose mentioning will likely cause many here to recoil in disgust - they're on the Sweet Baby list, the result of which was one of the protagonists being made a Strong Independent BIPOC Womyn - is actually a cool ass game despite the token black bitch. Remedy is a great studio, one of the few high-budget studios that can actually turn out a decent product that's not dragged down nearly as much by the typical industry retardation. another favorite of mine, Supplice, has a black womyn protagonist (it's a Doom clone made in GZDoom, so the protag is just a skin-suit for the player - you don't even see her hands on the weapon sprites), and one of the console data logs early in the game mentions somebody's nonbinary pronouns or some shit. so there's a subset of people screeching at the tiny ass dev team on the game's Steam forums for being evil SJW fags, but it's a fucking Doom clone - 99.99% of the gameplay is blasting aliens and monsters and shit, and the story itself is about the exocolony's AIs going rogue, whatever "woke" elements exist in the game are so insignificant as to be effectively nonexistent, unless you're deliberately driving yourself insane about it. it's one thing to reject games that prioritize their social politics over literally everything, including the actual experience of playing the game. but some games can exhibit a few motes of SJW stank despite being otherwise excellent and unconcerned with political preaching. many people fail to make this distinction, especially the ones who are only here to be mad about things on the internet instead of enjoying the hobby they're supposedly so concerned about.

also, some people just care enough about things like the gameplay to totally ignore the overwhelming presence of wokeshit. more power to these people. I feel that this is the correct mindset to foster, to find your enjoyment where you can and not let the retardation of the world piss in your cereal every day.

That's my problem with this list. Who is gonna take a bullet and play through these games? Sweet Baby Detected is not enough. There's a physics puzzle on there. Literally what's woke about Space Tow Truck?

Each game on the list needs a detailed review telling you exactly what's wrong with it so you can make an informed decision. I have no problem with someone letting others know that games may contain content or values they disagree with. But I'd like to know what I'm disagreeing with first.

I remember when looking at Heart Machine's staff for their next game after Hyper Light Drifter, later revealed to be Solar Ash, I absolutely swore I saw Zoe Quinn's name among them for a writer while the project was still unnamed. Wikipedia isn't showing her at all though, so perhaps they severed ties with her after some point.
