It’s really as simple as: other world views exist, and I would like to see them too. I would like to have an industry that’s not so mentally unstable, everything must be bent to fit or destroyed if it doesn’t.

If that makes me an unhappy culture warrior, fine. I just grew up in a time with varied entertainment, and don’t think it’s impossible to achieve again.

The fact that we need more websites dedicated to investigating why video games need more “wokeness“ and propaganda in them is just proof that we can never have real fun. It’s just a chore to pretend that this DEI stuff is natural, when it’s mostly just there to serve a quota to get rich off of.

That and also the demoralization within it.

There was one soy -- in the MSM IIRC -- who claimed it's "culture war brain rot" to want accurate translation with no identity politics crammed in with Japanese media.

Gaslighting is the only defense they have, and "why do you care" (hoping you don't realize how much they care). They're so predictable but I guess it's effective. Can't argue with the results.

It either doesn't like Brave, doesn't like my IP, or is down because I tried twice on two different computers (Mac and PC) and the thing refused to verify me.

Agreed. There needs to be a temperature meter like in that thread going over how much would the presence of "woke elements" in a game be ignorable or in-your-face than just a black and white "is-woke" added to their site.
 
Almost offtopic I know, but I found this webshite amongst my bookmarks that does the same thing as DEIdetected, but for companies.
I can't even remember why I bookmarked it, I never pay attention to these autistic directories, but if some of you might find a use for it go ahead.
