Some drama involving Nick Calandra the Editor in Chief of Second Wind

I only ever heard of it now but some guy has a website called SmashJT.com Which was just a gaming website.
It seems this website had a section called KotakuDetected, it's also a hashtag on X,
It's kind of like the sweet baby inc list but for jurnos

This is where Nick comes in:
Apparently, Nick was on the list and asked to be taken off which the Creator SmashJT did but Nick also asked for the whole list to be taken down, when that didn't happen Nick complained to SmahJT's website hoster Wix which got him back on the list

It seems Nick got his way though, the website was taken down

So... since the dust has settled with the Escapist thing... what is there left to do here?

I mean, sure, we can nitpick his reviews, but that essentially boils down to us doing the exact same shit he's doing, the difference is just he subject.
Well fuck, the moment I post this, there's a crossover with SBI bullshit

That's an insulting price to such a disgusting looking game. Legit looks worse than his Adventure Games 20 years ago. Also for some reason some faggot did a review with Palestinian flag in it, which makes me wonder if it has some political bad takes.
I'm not sure what he's going for. There's a certain allure of "a game like you would want to play" but once you do that, all the allure is gone, and you can't enjoy it. For an example, Null designed Kiwi Farms as the site he would probably really enjoy, but can't really indulge himself in it or powerlevel too much; even if there was a "Definitely Not Null" user who joined this year, it wouldn't do much good if they talked about Hollandaise sauce on pizza and made autistic rants on flags.

Based on the theme, it seems that he might've picked up a bit of Elite Dangerous in there, but focused on "cozy game" elements. Other than that, the trailer looks awful. You'd think that someone who built his career on writing an acerbic character would have some of that reflected in the writing.

Looking at the player count, around 415 people bought it. The peak was 115 in the last 24hours and currently just 40 people are playing it.
I'm not at all surprised, it looks like shit. I guess even all those simps boosting his review score couldn't help it.

I want this queer to choke on his soy drink and just die. Every time I hear about him it's always peak game journo stuff. Yathzee must be further gone than I thought if he considers him a friend, he definitely doesn't need him.

A dev took issue with his review. Apparently in spite of the game receiving positive feedback on steam, the dev has to hone in on a single sort've negative review. Apparently if something's bad on purpose, you're not allowed to criticise it for that aspect.
Tbf for the tranny, someone like Yahtzee can fuck over the entire success of his game by being overly negative and being the first "mainstream" review people see. Also the game is still early access so why even review it? Especially as once the game release people will look at the tl;dr of the review as being what happens in the final game. It will be interesting to know what specifically was the "limitations".
