Hitler by many accounts was a charismatic speaker to crowds.

But he at least could rouse a crowd and was a powerful speaker, with huge numbers of people willing to die for him.

In no way did it ever occur that Harry Potter was in any way similar.
The worst witch was a kind of classic, much more old fashioned, pre 50s style of boarding school story, of which there were loads of, and basically all crap. The worst witch was better than the other stuff due to having the element of witches to perk it up, but it was a totally different genre. Harry potter was a sort of kitchen sink fantasy novel, not that tripe.

Also it's not like you could say the worst witch is some unknown property whose idea was magpie-stolen up and exploited by some corpro entity. It had a good few seperate TV adaptions over a lot of years, including fairly recently (moreso even than the 90s one so mean).
It was well known and loved but it ahd a limit because there wasn't a whole lot there. It was just school stories.
The woman who wrote it doesn't own the concept of magic and school.

Edit: To be clear, most fanfic writers and readers are underage (or at least they were in the fandom's heyday), but they still shouldn't be reading and writing porn.
