I didn't say he can't change(Well It kind of felt that way rereading it).
But he needs external forces in real life to help him get off this.
I went through the same thing but far worse, I can see some similarities of myself in him.
Kid's minds are volatile, illogical, and in the process of growing. By doing the shit he's doing now he's going to develop hard to break habits growing up. Hence why EPI or Trauma is so dangerous to children. And children are a product of their environment. Whatever he learns now will shape and stick with him on the future.
I don't even know how old he is yet. If he's in highschool then he better start putting effort to developing a sense of self awareness.
Because if he hits 20 his mind will start to stop growing and processing new information will get harder as he continues to grow past 20. This is why I simply gave up trying to change my parents, they're doing the same shit that affected me deeply and led me to my problems but with my young siblings. I only pray that with my slight guidance I can steer them away from the path I took. I ain't my ma and pa and I'm still young so I can't intervene or parent them myself.
