One guy that I have followed for a while, but have never cared enough about to create a thread, is Freya Nebula Jade. It wouldn't surprise me if several troonwatchers here have come across him in the wild before as he overlaps with a lot of the usual suspects. Aside from his trans takes, he is just a genuinely crazy and nasty individual who is always involved in drama, usually with a housemate, landlord, former boss, etc.

He is also really gross and routinely posts things with the same pic of a girl seen below. Here he dicusses his stinkditch farts. I'm not calling them "queefs" as that is something that happens to actual women. And his followers have plenty to add to the discussion. My favorite is the one who claims this thread is making him rethink bottom transitions.

It's interesting that he calls the tranny delusional. He might be clinically correct. The tranny's responses are bang-on how actual delusional-disordered individuals respond to challenges: "that's nice", "I hear you but I'm ignoring it", if they can't be outright hostile- and in this case he couldn't, because his challenger was completely fucking qualified and correct, and it was in public. I don't know if "sissification" was a genre, but dominant females and humiliation played in the summaries of a lot of the books, so maybe it just didn't have a name yet. You could mail order the books, or probably get them at a local porn store.

As he was a young teenager and probably didn't set up a PO box and send out money orders, my guess is that dude ran across (or was shown) someone else's stash and ended up imprinting himself on sissy porn that way.

Spoiler: how I know this / stale tales of the 1990s

Before the Internet was big, mail-order catalogs were bigger. There was a "catalog of catalogs" where you could send in and put yourself on the mailing lists of catalogs you were interested in. It was the past!

I am a woman with large-ish feet, not freakish but inconvenient in the pre-Internet days to buy dressy shoes for a wedding guest or piano recital. As a teenager I signed up for a giant-foot lady shoe catalog and immediately started also getting wig and cross-dresser catalogs in the mail. In fact, the big-shoe catalog itself had a mini cross-dressing section in the middle, but it was plausibly-deniable: wigs, plus-sized slips, makeup kits that talked up their coming with an instructional guide.

All in all it was an edifying experience. I ended up keeping a nice pair of Birkenstocks and realizing that nobody cares about my shoes more than I myself do.

It would be interesting to learn. Presumably there was higher overhead pre-Internet, but that also meant there was more of a barrier to enter into the industry. I suspect that the apparent boom of adult-onset transwomen is largely due to the men who would have been "just" private crossdressers thirty years ago looking around and realizing they can coom in public and get applause. But it's not like you can look back in an almanac and get accurate information of what percentage of dudes were spankin' it in panties in 1915.

I found the catalog name earlier; it was Suddenly Fem, now DBA En Femme.

Here's an interesting press release from 2013, announcing their standalone webpage. (archive) This seemed a little late to me, but it turns out they used to own crossdresser.com and were splitting the fashion off separately in 2013.
