I just realized after reading the now shoaed PaulyFrog thread, I remember the exact moment I stopped listening to Dick, it was when Hat called in to say it was kinda fucked up to tell Mint to leave her family and the way Dick reacted to it.
So as a former fan, its easy to not really fact check anything Dick says. Like I don't listen to tons of podcasts and when I was a fan I didnt ever look dick up outside of his own website to get episode updates. Again what pushed me away was a caller calling dick out. It is kinda like gayfabe in wrestling. Its easy to ignore it if it makes the show more entertaining.
