Pandora Holmes has been placed on a psychiatric hold by the NHS, and is being held against her will. She has had her HRT taken away from her, then in an emotionally vulnerable state, faced verbal abuse, harassment, sleep deprivation, and gaslighting at the hands of transphobic staff.

Initially, they wanted to hold her for 2 days. When she realised she was not being given access to her HRT, she asked to leave when this expired, and they attempted to increase it to 6 months in retaliation. When she fought this, it was "reduced" to 28 days. She was then locked in a prison cell, insulted, and mistreated, while off her HRT. After complaining about her treatment and asking for healthcare, somethng the NHS is supposed to provide, apparently, the was starved in retaliation, with no food and only minimal water.

The NHS has been stringing her along, promising her HRT "tomorrow" so many fucking times I've lost count. they transferred her to a different facility, where they attempted to place her in a ward with men, at risk of sexual assault or death, until the police had to intervene to protect her from the NHS.

Since then she has not been allowed outside. She has been singled out, with a staff member following her around, and deliberate efforts to prevent her from sleeping for the last three days. HRT keeps being promised, but never comes. Pandora has a limited time to appeal, and they were trying to run the clock out on it.

When she filed her appeal, they started trying to keep her for 6 months *anyway*. They are using the emotional distress that they are inflicting as their reason. They are calling her distress and dysphoria "paranoid delusions". An issue entirely caused by their neglect and the contempt they hold for us.

This is happening in the UK right now. Trans genocide in the UK is no longer "this could happen". This is what Sunak and Starmer want for all of us. To lock us up and torture us, to gaslight us into conversion therapy.

The NHS have again promised Pandora HRT, this time she is supposed to be getting her first dose today, and not at some vague future time that never comes.
This still isn't over. Hold them to their word, and make sure they don't take it away again.
Also, remember: Pandora is almost certainly not the first.
We need to expose this torture for what it is, prevent future victims, and get some justice for others.
Pandora is still not free. Even with HRT, we need to make sure the NHS isn't keeping her in an unsafe environment, or holding her on false pretences.

Abuse by The System does happen. Likewise, I know nothing about the British mental health system. But I do know that people are, in general, unreliable narrators. They minimize the things that make themselves look bad and exaggerate things that make them look good, where bad and good are defined as "fitting the narrative" they want to put forward.

It sounds like he's on what the US would call 1 on 1, which is exactly what it sounds like. A staff member keeping their eyes on a patient the whole day. If he's 1 on 1, either he tried to hurt himself or another patient while on the ward. If he's being "imprisoned", I suspect that he threw a huge fit and needed to be restrained for his safety.

At the hospital I was in the only people who got to go outside were smokers, and only twice a day for like five minutes. I guess a non-smoker could go, but the outside area was small enough to not let people escape from the smoke.

Like it or not, psych hospitals are strict. They have a duty to keep you safe and healthy. That includes protection from other patients as well as from yourself.

The NHS tricked her.
They told her to come and pick up a prescription, and had people waiting to abduct her. She was locked in a waiting room overnight, then taken to a hospital conversion therapy facility the next day.
Initially she was detained under section 136, which only lasts two days, and can be extended an additional day. They then attempted to keep her under section 3 (6 months) - when she complained, this was reduced to section 2 (28 days), but this was when the retaliation and gaslighting started.
Now they are trying to increase her sentence to 6 months anyway.

Was coming here to say just this. The state of the NHS mental health services for people in crisis especially, it is actually very difficult to get sectioned, especially for more than 2 days, even if someone has actively tried to kill themselves. This person is acutely unwell in a big way, probably psychotic and in desperate need of stabilisation. Obviously it's not working or they would be released into the community support as soon as humanly possible.

As you know, all candidates were invited as this is a non-selective hustings. Unfortunately, in what is becoming a bad habit, Sophie Molly (the previous Scottish Green Party candidate until his deselection, & now an independent candidate for Aberdeen South) placed conditions upon his attendance. Namely that one of his partners could record. We advised that the candidates would be recorded & that recording would be made available to Sophie. Due to previous violence, threats & doxxxing of some of those wishing to attend, it was encumbent on us to protect their privacy, dignity & safety & not allow these to be compromised by others potentially recording them, as has happened in the past.
