To be fair, our founders would have never thought blacks to be equals. They also did not think the same of women. They were people of their times and times change (thank God).

If I could go back in time I would have told them to get rid of slavery and to send as many slaves to to-be-established Liberia asap because the horrors of slavery and racism are terrorizing us right now (as "white guilt").

Imagine the USA as some sort of Switzerland. I also believe we would have waaaaaaay less people in prison and, most probably, a humane criminal justice system as well. Maybe some sort of universal healthcare. Less mass-shootings.No "urban" areals. No KIA boys. A tiny amount of black people, with no family history of slavery, all of whom would have gone through the proper channels in order to aquire our citizenship so no problems here.

But no, some rich white a-holes did not want to pay white rednecks to pick the cotton and here we are now, thanks for nothing.

Liberia?

To be fair-Liberia did work in the beginning. Unfortunately, there were other blacks who felt left out.As the settlers were basically Americans from the South-the law was similar to yours, they spoke English like we do in the South, they were Protestants, many were educated, the buildings looked like the South,too. They thought the natives to be primitive and uncivilized.

Unfortunately, the latter proved them right and destroyed everything. And I mean-everything. Americano-Liberians managed to build a functioning educational system and my heart bleeds looking at photos of destroyed universities with books lying tossed on the ground an burned by some stupid monkeys.

I think, had the original inhabitants been removed from Liberia, it would have probably become a success story. I wish we could have seriously built Liberia up as a new homeland for our remigration affords. Our government just dumped the settlers there and had them fend for themselves, against agressive natives who, ultimately, destroyed this country.

I'm currently going through a rerun of Law and Order SVU. That episode about the 'white supremacist' gun store owner who has a teenage son was humorous in several ways.

They try and sell the episode as though the 'racist' people are wrong and delusional- yet the things they outline are literally illustrated throughout the entire rest of the series, the world at large, and everyone's personal experiences.
