Edit: And there's not going to be a draft. There's a quagmire in the Ukraine whos strategic purpose (other than enriching arms manufacturers) is to drain Russian resources and is doing just fine at that and a little Israeli police action that only isn't over because it would look bad on them for winning too hard.

You're correct if you're looking at it from the view of a conventional war, like America vs Russia or something. I think the reality will be more grim than that.

Russia won't invade Europe, for myriad reasons, anyone who thinks they will is retarded and knows nothing about what Putin is doing. I'm no expert, it's just that obvious to see.
China, on the other hand, could cripple the west without firing a bullet and poses a great threat to the stability of the west. It would, however, cost 10's if not 100's of millions of chink lives because of starvation.

I believe the real reason for the west; America, Germany, Poland, France Uk et al, pushing for drafts and war times economies isn't because of an external threat or old-school empire war, but because the threat comes from within. When civil war hits and society turns on itself - if you think this is far fetched, we had a taste of it during covid, the government needs to be armed and protected.
Sure, some may say "I won't fight the gubbermint, fuq dat", but the reality is, if you're offered shelter, safety, protection and 3 square meals a day for you AND your family, who wouldn't sign up? What would you be defending by putting your families at risk? Who would you be defending? Tyrone, Quavarius and Felipe?

TL;DR - the draft isn't to stop the chinks or murder the reds, it's to create an army and police state within America and western countries to stop the coming civil war. Consider Chairman Mao's great leap forward, except it's a German cunt pushing agenda 2030. Starvation will happen, and the not-so-secret police need to be there to put their boots on the necks of the dissenters.

Fragging and other draft issues occured in Nam. A much higher trust and cohesive society whose previous generations did korea and ww2.

Fast forward to a less cohesive society in trust, race, everything. The 2 draft officers Felipe and Shaniqua come up to the armed 40 year old vet to take his 18 year old son. At this point of doing a draft the economy would be turbofucked and hes probably unemployed and jews are going to seize his house. Why not put bullets in them? Then go through their wallets and phones and put bullets in everyone they know? You can only push so far. There is videos of unarmed ukrainians fighting against draft personnel. And they lived under the soviet union in living memory. You think Americans wont?

I think plenty of parents would go nuclear at trying to take their teens. There is a reason Ukraine started with not that age group.

I feel like the draft is a hail mary plot by one party or the other to try and tank whoever holds office next. They fully expect a collapse to occur and the US has historically always went to war to claw itself out of a collapse status, but the draft would be a horrific shit show that would likely cause mass unrest and more complete loss of faith in the system.

If Biden is in and the draft goes through, even if he's in his second term the Democrats will be viewed as the party that robbed America of its sons and daughters to die somewhere else.

If Trump is in and the draft goes through, Republicans will (again) be viewed as the party that robbed America of its sons and daughters to die somewhere else.

There is no win condition, this is just a bag of shit each party is hoping will explode on the other.

The autodraft bullshit means next to nothing. Either Trump becomes the great reformer, or we slide into communism. It isn't that complicated, and whatever hopes I have that Trump will accomplish a tenth of what he's campaigning on are small.

The draft isn't as obsolete was we thought it was in the 90s-00s. The legislature has discussed conscription regularly over the last year or so due to military recruitment numbers being well below the Pentagon's needs. Jerry Nadler was pretty passionate about not reducing the pool of eligible conscripts when the argument was being made that not including women in selective service violated the 64' civil rights bill (Constitution Jr.).

You rely too much on the lizard people behaving themselves. If they feel like depriving you of your 13th amendment rights so you can get the lower half of your body blown off in a European ditch, they'll do it. If the courts or executive stops them, they'll give themselves the power to work around it. We already have secret courts that lack a transparent appeal process, and they've already set a precedent where the speaker of the house can meet in secret with the Pentagon and conspire to ignore orders from the Commander in Chief.

We did it for Vietnam, and Vietnam wasn't all that imprtant. Ukraine, Israel, and Taiwan are. The first two are vital for politicians getting rich and laundering money while the 3rd makes it possible for the government to spy on you constantly. J. Edgar Hoover types were probably rare back in the day, but the current permanent staffer administrative state is filled with them. "They would never..." until they do.

If you think someone saying that they will kill someone who tries to drag their kid away in a death van is larping then please dilate and adjust your anal dildos settings. I understand you will never have children but there are people in this thread who do.

I think if the government drafted the older generation and guaranteed the mortgage payment they wouldnt get much pushback grabbing peoples kids will get a different response.

People only take shit if they have something to lose. "You wont do shit" only applies to incrementalism where you personally still have something to lose. Even drafting you is fine if you get guarantees for your children that are believeable (they arent). Taking kids is a line. Hence the school board tranny grooming rise up we have seen recently.

As far as women getting drafted. They have too. A draft is legally doa without that. At least one judge will find it violates civil rights. And if you think Brown and Soniameyer wouldnt masterbate to sending white women to their deaths i dont know what to tell ya.

Getting overly concerned about a potential draft right now probably isn't worth it considering the NDAA for both the House and Senate haven't really gone anywhere yet though with the way things seem to be going expect anything. Sure it hasn't happened in a long time but that doesn't necessarily mean it won't happen again.

On the other hand for all the talk about it not happening, remember that the politicians who push for this stuff often are not or barely effected by the move. Chrissy Houlahan for example who introduced the House proposal to make Selective Service registration automatic and expand the age it effects has two adult daughters who seem to be in their late twenties and early thirties.

History shows us that Ameican politicians don't mind having their children avoid service.

How do you want them to be compared? Greg Abbott is a governor and Jefferson Davis, if you look at his time pre-Civil War, was a politician who got elected to the House of Representatives, fought some Mexicans, became a Senator and then was Secretary of War for a while.
