I grew up in a household where both parents cooked, and it made my life a lot better. Both parents cooking means that if one is sick or out of town, the other parent can easily take on responsibilities without the usual diets of the kids being disrupted too much. Also, everyone needs to eat, and since kitchens aren’t some rarity like they once were, it’s dumb to not at least learn the basics. It saves money, and it gets old after a while of relying on frozen or takeout.

Anyway happy early Father's Day to my own dad, a true and based man who has always been hardworking and faithful, taught us the importance of love and respect in all relationships, cheered us on and was always there for all our events, who loved being a dad so much that he got shaken up reading Fatal Vision because he literally could not wrap his mind around or even comprehend a man killing his own wife and children to get out of fatherhood. If we took it to its logical conclusions, a society where a bunch of women couldn’t read or write, in a society heavily dependent on those things, basic tasks wouldn’t be able to get done. Most societies now need literacy rates to be high, as without it, you couldn’t: make purchases online, drive, order food at restaurants, read nutrition labels, read the news, etc. Decreasing literacy rates in the name of marrying off women early and getting them pregnant would mean your society would have to go back to more primitive ways of living where you didn’t need high literacy rates, as otherwise, women with low education couldn’t function well on their own tending to basic household needs.

Ideally, if you have kids, you'd never say you'd be just as happy if you never had them. Commenters are saying that apparently this lawyer was fired by some of the victims’ families anyway, so I’m not sure why he’s being trusted as a source. If the daughter did anything, that is for law enforcement to investigate, and implying that she’s complicit in murders her dad has still not been found guilty of* solely based on her Tumblr activity is dangerous.

Also, the Son of Sam laws (basically, that killers aren’t allowed to profit from media about of their murders) don’t apply to their families AND have been found unconstitutional on First Amendment grounds.
