I mean I've technically eaten road kill, but only deer that have been hit within hours añd haven't even gotten cold. You call the sheriff's department and they send out a deputy who issues you a salvage tag for free. Why let perfectly good food go to waste? Even if all you can get off it are the back straps it's worth it for the price $0 and a little elbow grease.

There's some local news thing I saw on YouTube for a while called "dirty dining" where some station reported on filthy restaurants shut down by the health department. I swear at least half of em were always Chinese places.

Many, many years ago, a Chinese place one town over got shut down over health code violations. Turns out they'd been capturing stray cats and... well, you know the rest, I don't want to type it out.
Chinese places are, almost universally, disgusting. There are very few exceptions to this. If you want Chinese, you either make it yourself, or you find the one place that's not disgusting within driving distance and you never go anywhere else. Even then I'm still weary to eat it, knowing the Bugpeople's propensity for dubious food practices.
