I imagine both candidates would have to sit, maybe both of them at a shared roundtable with the moderators on the opposing side like they used to do for the VP debates.

I've seen numerous stories floating around now that they're seriously considering ditching both Biden and Harris and starting over now, enough to consider it smoke but still be really skeptical. Their entire confirmation process at the convention is virtual this year, so there'd be no footage of delegates rioting and the party would have a mute button. Apparently it would take Clinton, Obama, Schumer and Pelosi all telling Joe and Jill to stand aside for it to happen. Joe is apparently eating his own propaganda and thinks he's the most accomplished, transformative president in decades with his first term.

But everything I understand about politics in this country paints ditching Joe now as totally punting on the election, and I don't know what idiot they could trot out to take that bullet for them. The few rumors I've seen all point at Michelle and that's just utter wishcasting, she hates national politics and dislikes the Bidens besides.

Apparently CNN is denying that Biden's campaign asked for the debate to be seated.
Except Trump never said it was the Biden campaign that wanted the debate to be seated, he said that CNN themselves proposed the debate be seated. And I don't think they denied that part, which makes me suspect it's true given how these faggots split hairs.
Anyone else remember "ACKSHULLY HILARY DIDN'T DESTROY HER BLACKBERRY, SHE MADE HER STAFF DO IT! DEBOONK!" and every other time they said something was a lie because of a technicality on a small detail?

WASHINGTON (AP) — The IRS plans to end a major tax loophole for wealthy taxpayers that could raise more than $50 billion in revenue over the next decade, the U.S. Treasury Department says.

The proposed rule and guidance announced Monday includes plans to essentially stop “partnership basis shifting” — a process by which a business or person can move assets among a series of related parties to avoid paying taxes.

Biden administration officials said after evaluating the practice that there are no economic grounds for these transactions, with Deputy Treasury Secretary Wally Adeyemo calling it “really just a shell game.” The officials said the additional IRS funding provided through the 2022 Inflation Reduction Act had enabled increased oversight and greater awareness of the practice.

“These tax shelters allow wealthy taxpayers to avoid paying what they owe,” IRS commissioner Danny Werfel said.

Due to previous years of underfunding, the IRS had cut back on the auditing of wealthy individuals and the shifting of assets among partnerships and companies became common.

The IRS says filings for large pass-through businesses used for the type of tax avoidance in the guidance increased 70% from 174,100 in 2010 to 297,400 in 2019. However, audit rates for these businesses fell from 3.8% to 0.1% in the same time frame.

Treasury said in a statement announcing the new guidance that there is an estimated $160 billion gap between what the top 1% of earners likely owe in taxes and what they pay.

Miles Johnson, a senior attorney adviser and partnership tax specialist at the Tax Law Center at NYU Law, said “these transactions effectively make income disappear from the tax system by creating depreciation deductions or other tax reductions that don’t reflect any true economic cost.”

He said the proposed rule and guidance shows that the IRS wants to stop these sorts of transactions “by eliminating their tax benefits and better identifying them to the IRS as without substance.”

Monday’s announcement is part of the IRS’s ongoing effort to zero in on high-wealth tax cheats who manipulate the tax code or don’t pay their taxes at all.

Initiatives announced in the past year have included pursuing people and businesses that improperly deduct personal flights on corporate jets and collecting back taxes from delinquent millionaires.

The IRS plans to raise audit rates on companies with assets above $250 million to 22.6% in 2026, from an 8.8% rate in the tax year 2019. It also plans to increase audit rates by tenfold on large complex partnerships with assets over $10 million.

Let us not forget that CNN is literally being paid by the Biden Admin to do political analysis for them. More than ever before they are no longer neutral. They are literally paid by the DNC now.

I don't want to think about what will happen if the right loses an election because the left just said "ok, all those illegals are now legal, now vote for us." But they seem to be planning that exact thing.

A seated debate would make both guys look like frail old men. If they pulled somebody else out of their ass they could use a seated debate against Trump and say he's too old. Like you said it wouldn't work out for them unless they find a wonder candidate without baggage waiting in the wings.

the election is still five months away. there's a slim but nonzero chance that by the time elections come around, illegals will realize they have been duped into being voting cattle and will instead vote republican before their journey home. People are becoming more hostile to illegals, who themselves are being treated like slave labour. the elections are their opportunity to take it out on the assholes that tricked them with promises of oats and honey.

Yes, there’s a reason that the absolute FIRST thing the Biden administration did when it took office in 2021 was to eliminate all controls on the southern border including Trump’s stay-in-mexihell policy. If Texas falls to the Leftists, the democrats will permanently have a stranglehold on national elections.

BTW, in terms of demographics, Texas is now a majority non-white state. It has more beaners than white people which is what happened in Mexifornia. It may be only a matter of time before it turns permanently blue.
