Nexpo/YT Horror Channels - Do they all suck

It's cringy how many of these channels cover liminal spaces as if it's sooooperrr scwarryyyy.
Nigga passing driving and walking in Canada at 3 AM as horror content. You are supposed to be afraid of walking to the bagel shop at 3AM because fewer people are driving and walking at 3 AM compared to 8 AM. Scary! Faggot later bitched about the shop giving him an extra bagel at 3 AM.

Can these people actually choke on a railroad beam, holy shit kill yourselves you fucking dickless nigger.
There is still far more graphic content in Meat Canyon cartoons than most of Analog Horror. Rape jokes, infanticide jokes and racist jokes. Yet the safe space horror crowd worship meat canyon as much as Wendigooon.

Meat got a lot of good will early on due to WB DMCAing his Bugs Bunny cartoon. It also helps that Meat's videos use safe targets for his jokes like old cartoons or unpopular youtubers.

What even counts as "too far" with this community? I really, really need to know. Gotta make horror safe for the kids and emotionally stunted teenagers or something?

Gotta be scary but not TOO scary? Gotta make a morally unforgiving person but can't make them too morally unforgiving! (Bonus points if added jumpscare stamps or twenty trigger warnings!)

Gotta be """disturbing""" but not offensively disturbing, oh no! Oh, dear no, how else can we gather an audience full of impressionable children and adults???????????????????????????????

Listen, I can agree that using a dead person for Analog Horror is definitely distasteful, but this sort of junk ain't nothing new. People have gotten away with this numerous times. It's just that this guy was the unfortunate one to get into hot water with it.

So many horror movies from what I know are entirely just shock movies meant to give people a scare but I don't see any videos criticizing it being just that. Though I suppose the difference is, it's a movie, so there's gotta be some merit of plot in between all the shock scenes, even if they don't really correlate well.

Whatever. They just want the equivalent of a Huggy Wuggy kind of Analog Horror. Nothing too intense and nothing too out of their comfort zone. That's the standard for these people.

also can these people stop talking about urbanspook, the free publicly clicks should've died down by now i swear-

James Wan mogs all these faggots
>Made some of the most profitable horror movies in resent time
>Dosen't waste everyone's time with what reddit think is scary so his films actually scare people
>His films are still talked about to this day and will most likely be remember fondly in the future

Cope and seethe soylog horror trannies.

Wait, Wendigooner was talking about horror potentially going "too far"? Lmaooo.

NM uploaded a new video. Not watching it, but it's about "digital horror". Please God Almighty do not let Digital Horror be the new style of horror that becomes over-saturated.
Crazy how these people treat art like it's a trendy fashion statement. I see more "creators" starting their own animation series all of the sudden after animation blown up in popularity. I guess I'm just bitter considering I've been into animation my whole life, I never could afford to be able to create my own short films since it requires money and being socially active, now these self-proclaimed "im so oppressed, im such an underdog" filmmakers are switching to animation after analog horror and ARGs fallen out of fashion. Like damn. Could you be any more fake? Why don't you become a producer instead since you love money and clout so badly.

for the love of God someone get your KID.
This "Vermis Malum" series looks interesting, but I'm not gonna watch a video about it that's longer than every video from the channel combined, how the fuck do you get 40 minutes out of three videos in a series that's pretty much JUST starting?

By giving an overly padded out synopsis of the videos with a small amount of personal commentary in between. Remember this guy likes to preach about being creative yet he has created nothing and all he has done is grift off other peoples work. How any why the entire horror community have not turn on these faggots for this shit I have no idea.

It's because there is no "horror community" - there are creators, and there are consumers. The "horror explanation" channels are just consumers who can't keep their mouths shut. The same holds true for a variety of other so-called "communities" where this kind of content dynamic is king.

This is probably the best story they've covered and really highlights the problem with modern 'horror' when Meat and Wendi are sperging out about it going 'too far'. It's almost like it uses grotesque and uncomfortable detail to...horrify you. Shock and fucking horror.
After watching the full video and reading the full story by myself, I completely agree with you and I regret judging the story so fast.

Most horror Youtubers draw the lines at kids/animals getting sexually harassed/raped/killed. It sometimes sounds like they're doing it for brownie-points from their audience though, but I don't know. Horror's simply not supposed to make you feel warm & cozy.

Edit to add, because I don't want to double-post:

To quote the gay-nasal-voice-Youtuber I haven't heard of before: "This right here is just unacceptable, and was my breaking point with analog horror and there's no going around it, no beating around the bush, no, just no."

I refuse to believe that this isn't satire and he's serious about it. Holy shit.

I think a big part of it is groupings. The horror section of YouTube is especially autistic because they are have a very broad "the horror community" and act like they have lots of niches and categories mascot/digital/analog/liminal horror but they all blur together with a general audience. The end result is that youtubers have only one big pool to network in and a shared audience that will gladly rip them apart if a youtuber can get them riled up at you. So if you step out of line and make something outside of established norms a youtuber can strike you down.

Unless wendigoon introducing them all to blood meridian. He did more damage to blood meridian discussion than even reddit. Now his audience accept everything in the book is literal and the judge a demon. The Wikipedia page for the judge now says he is a demon. Before, even the Wikipedia page had doubts whether the judge is real or not.

To be frank, all this talk of shit like that being disliked because it "makes people feel uncomfortable" is really fucking retarded. People don't hate it because of that. They hate it because 9/10 times it's done for pointless shock-value.

I think I was okay with them wanting it to be implied because not knowing is sometimes more scary than having it spelt out in graphic detail. I don't know, it sometimes takes the edge off it for me if things are completely spelled out, leaving some things to the imagination can be an effective narrative tool.

I do think in this particular instance the implication would work better, because Tommy is meant to be some sort of entity, not revealing too much sort of lends to that. Hopefully I make sense. I'm not trying to clutch pearls I promise.

Exactly, but Nu-Horrorfags know they'll get labeled as "toxic" and "mean" if they ever call it out as such. So instead they at best resort to pussyfooting around it by saying they feel "uncomfortable", and at worst they start nitpicking and grasping at straws in an attempt to make the creator come across as some kind of vile lunatic.

New creepcast dropped.
I've genuinely never heard of the story before, seems to be garbage, but I like putting these two on in the background while working.

Just from the thumbnail alone I can tell these guys didn't pick up on even the basics. They read it without taking any information in. Doesn't help Wendigoon keeps going "I DONT LIKE THIS!!" every 20 seconds.

The antagonism toward Spence (the father) and subsequent doubling-down after the reveal of why he's so meek was annoying. Wendi and Meat constantly virtue-signaling they would simply tell Tommy to leave or PUNCH HIM DOOD was especially retarded considering it's an immortal sadistic force that would just beat the aggressor into a vegetable and rape their family in front of them daily for the next five years.

They really wouldn't let themselves admit trying to be Mr. Macho Moidly Man would lead to fates worse than an honorable death, and abandoning the kids outright.

I actually really liked the story and thought that the monster was pretty cool. Though out it, I kept thinking back to something Hitchcock said about suspense: You have two guys sitting in a room and suddenly a bomb goes off, all you did was startle the audience, You show the bomb being set up ahead of time and now the audience is watching in suspense as the guys talk waiting to see what will happen with the bomb. Even though Meat and Wendi pissed and griped about using CSA as a plot point, they were unsettled, anxious, and engaged with the HORROR story and a large part of that was the age warnings and the child protagonist gave them a warning that a child sexual assault bomb was primed and ready to go at any moment. So every action the monster did could be the bomb going off and added to the fear. Also, the more vivid description of the protag's CSA didn't ruin the story, it added more mystery because it begs the question of why protag got off relatively easy and still didn't answer what the fuck it did to his mom or sister. Finally, Wendi's talk about finality is also pretty dumb, not everything needs a solid conclusion and the monster departing as uneventful as arriving adds to the fear because you can't tell if it is truly over and he could come back at anytime.
