Furry Convention Drama - Because you can't have a couple thousand dog fucking enthusiasts under the same roof without shit hitting the fan

This is a couple weeks old, but I don't think I've seen anyone post it yet: Furality announced their charity for this year is The Center Orlando, Inc.

Obviously, if you're reading this, you're an adult and you can spend and/or donate your money as you see fit. But I would like to emphasize that if you give Furality any money, it will probably be used to fund "trans support" for 5-13 year-old children, if this excerpt from their website is anything to go by:

How about drama for a con yet to happen? There's going to be a new convention in Calgary, AB next year and they already had creeps contacting minors on the unofficial telegram chat.
Notably, after this was posted the offenders deleted those accounts and made new ones, so no one knows who they are now.

They kill pedos now in Florida so tbh that's the only way to guarantee a lower level of drama at a furrycon.

Although Florida law still does nothing about ABDLs.

If the Yakuza series has taught me anything about ABDL fetish scene, it probably because high-ranking people (bureaucrats, politicians, executives, crime bosses, etc.) are into it.

Furries are actually weird in that respect. You go into any fetish and there's going to be a lot of the elite in that community. I came to the opinion a while ago that once you hit about 10,000 people and can start forming localized fetish communities the fastest way to find your local politicians when they are off the clock is to look at the local fetish communities. It only gets worse as the population goes up too.

Yet for some reason this doesn't happen as much with furries. As a semi-recovered degenerate of other varieties I can list the fetish of every single one of my local politicians. You get enough people from various fetish communities together and you will start to hear about the fetishes of every politician in an ever-growing area around you, as well as those of every high-ranking criminal and every businessman. Yet you never hear about them being furries. It's fucking weird. Your mayor's ass might be gaped so wide that it takes a wine bottle to plug it shut so he stops shitting himself, but he's not going to be a furry.

At the end of the day nobody cares that their elites are into some weird shit so long as they can stop doing weird shit to do their job when necessary. It only and always becomes an issue when they can't. The thing is that the weird shit is never furries. The elites are into every type of weird except furries.

There's some weird barrier that exists that just prevents furries from ascending up certain portions of the societal ladder. And if they do get into those positions they frequently stop being furries. I know I have seen exceptions before and I know that there are exceptions, but it's just weird. How rare those exceptions are. For the sheer amount of noise furries make you think there would be more of them in politics like every other fetish.

That's because furries prefer to infest more stable institutions like the tech and entertainment industries and manipulate public ideology from those points, just look at how long it took for Discord to ban cub art from their service and compare it to time it took to ban loli and shota content.

What I think it is, is that furry tends to be something you get into in your youth and not really something you move into later. Plus, overall the furry scene is far more recent in the overall grand scheme of fetishes. I think give it 10 or 20 years and you'll start seeing more furs in those spaces.

This is also what powers the trans train. A lot of billionaire businessmen came down with a case of ladybrain and had to make the rest of society play along.

The furry fandom is at least 50 years old if you want to look at their roots in the sci-fi fandom during the early '70s, if we want to jump until they started having their own conventions once there was enough of them that started in '89, which means that while it is a fairly new fetish it is still at least 35 years old. We are currently seeing some of the first furries dying of age related illness. We are exactly in the right window right now to be seeing them in those positions. There's a lot of furries in their 40s and 50s. Those early conventions tended to lean older than modern conventions as well. The first few crops of furries are now firmly in the age range where they would have the connections, funding, and experience to have had fairly successful political careers. Not only that, but some of the middle era furries are also in the age range where they should be a couple years into their political careers. That's why it's so weird. Everything points to the fact that a few of this particular brand of degeneracy should be politicians. There's been enough of them for at least 30 years, and not only that, but we are now entering a period where there is more than enough of them old enough to be into a political career, as politics is something you typically go into after a couple years in business in basically every Western country unless you're born into it. It really is notable how weird it is that there aren't more furry politicians. My only legitimate explanation is that a lot of the ones that are business savvy end up running furry specific businesses and that might be enough to keep them out of politics when that transition would happen.

And as I did mention, I'm aware of a few cases where a furry became a politician, always pretty low level stuff, and those ones typically stop being furries pretty quickly. I personally think that the reason is mostly related to a theory of mine about the furry fandom in general: People stay in it out of habit rather than interest as they get older. Once they get busy they fall out.

I bet @AngryTreeRat has more dirt on his local politician's than any “gang member” could ever hope for, just because he used to like to be whipped.
You're probably not wrong. That's the worst part. Just imagine a future where instead of every politician wanting to get pegged while dressed as little girls they are all furries without how little filter they have

Sounds good to me, I’ll take a politician being honest over hiding his degeneracy any day.

It's always bluster, and the States know it.
It really is, I always see trannified Pokémon competitors complain about TPCi hosting big events like Regional Championships (with prizes like Championship Points, something you need to get a lot of in order to qualify for the yearly World Championships, and travel stipends being the big draws) in states like Florida ever since the anti-tranny laws passed. Ultimately just amounted to a small condom full of hot farts, the tournaments still get attendee numbers in the thousands.

CanFURence attempted to enforce a COVID mandate, but the the Canadian government officially stopped using COVID cards well over a year ago (as of this writing).

Do you think the people running the convention would take the hint and realize they can't reliably enforce mandates for an August 2024 event? Lol. Lmao, even. Of course they didn't. Better mask up, bitches.

Hello everyone,

We have heard your concerns about the increasing difficulty of securing vaccination records in a timely manner ahead of the convention. This issue affects not only residents of Ontario, but other provinces within Canada, and other countries abroad.

In light of this information, and after careful consideration, the CanFURence Board has decided to no longer require proof of vaccination. We will still be keeping our Masking Policy with no changes for the 2024 year, so ensure you have them for the event as we will not be providing them.

CanFURence still strongly suggests that our attendees follow Health Canada's guidelines and receive the most recent booster prior to attending the convention, along with receiving other annual vaccinations to help keep yourselves and your fellow attendees from getting sick.

For those who feel it unsafe to attend the convention with this change, you may refund your registration for this year, roll it over to the 2025 year, or transfer it to someone else. All you need to do is email us at info@canfurence.ca with the subject: Rollover/Refund. Please include in the email your badge name, legal name and the email you used for your registration so our team can find your information quickly in our system.

Sincerely,

The CanFURence Board of Directors
