Star Wars Griefing Thread (SPOILERS) - Safety off

I'm angry now that Inside Out 2 did so well.
Inside Out 2 doing well is more of a lambast of the shit state of movies than anything.
A normal, minimal identity/gender/climate/current year politics that would have been background noise 20 years ago is the best film of the year.
But yeah, I wish it would have tanked instead of giving the Rat enough juice to keep running for a few more years.

I had a free trial on Disney through my cell phone, that's the only time I 'paid' for any of this shit.

It cost you more than that. You gave them your time and attention, these things aren't free.
Value yourself and your time more, don't be a consoomer.

I had a free trial on Disney through my cell phone, that's the only time I 'paid' for any of this shit. I used it for Mando season 1, and it was fine. Season 2 was decent, like it ok. Then pirated it since, 2 fell off quite a lot. Then 3, 3 eps and done. I pirated Book of BF and Obiwan and was appalled. Andor I watched 2 eps and was bored, don't care. Ashoka a few eps, appalled.

These shows aren't even worst nothing now since Mando season 2. They're painfully awful. They even know it because so far only one of their series had more than a single season.

Above all else they are spending so much on these and they look CHEAP. If they had some decent space battles I could at least watch those, but there's nothing here. And now they're going to try blackmailing and strong arming people that criticize them?
The only thing I liked at least from the recent Disney Star Wars so far was the rematch between Obi-Wan & Vader and that's it. The rest are just "meh" to me at this point.

I missed the space battles of Star Wars too. Was there a major space dogfight in Disney Star Wars because I just can't remember one.

People should be reminded that these corpos will ditch ever their most loyal customers whenever they want. You don't get to be a multi-million company without stepping on a lot of people in the way and dropping all/almost all of your morals for mad cash.

The sweating, red-faced, infuriated neckbeard defense squad is showing up in full force to die on Acolyte's behalf. Which is surprising, because Ahsoka didn't get anywhere near this much desperate coping, despite focusing on the darling of many a Reddit Neckbeard.

I'm noticing a particularly large surge of furious defensive coping over this show, from both professional media outlets and consumer Disney Drones. I guess its dismal audience review scores and recent news of underperforming even compared to Ahsoka is really drumming up a sense of flaming insecurity over this show.

And we can't have Leslye Headland's Queer Disasterpiece get slandered by mean comments by online chuds, can we?

This strategy didn't work the last five times, why do they keep trying?
I guess it's to shame the remainder of their dwindling 'fanbase' into staying and consooming.

How that'll work out for them remains to be seen. Even the soys over at Jedi Temple Archives (which run D+ ads in the sidebar) are noticing the drop in viewership:

I will do the following… I will add up week 1 and 2 numbers and then devide by total runtime of the three (four for Andor) released episodes at that point. This should remove the uncertainty about how many people watch the current and previous episodes the most.

The Acolyte (Luminate): 590.5 million minutes total, total runtime 119 minutes, average views 4.962 million.
Ahsoka (Nielsen): 1,316 million minutes total, total runtime 132 minutes, average views 9.97 million
Andor (Nielsen): 1,109 million minutes total, total runtime 161 minutes, average views 6.89 million

Nielsen is no longer the only game in town when it comes to streaming charts. Luminate is a new player on the market and they cooperate with Variety, who post the weekly Luminate streaming charts. Luminate themselves are not posting any charts on their website, this is a paid service. They are aiming at industry pros and analysts.
Even if the numbers from Luminate are off, it's pitiful to spend $180 million for this poor-performing trash when the cherry on top of your garbage pile, Blandalorian, costs around $120 million per season and is (or at least was) the only piece of media pumping some semblance of life into the veins of your dead and gay franchise.

Disney's really turned into pure evil, I'm angry now that Inside Out 2 did so well. Star Wars Theory is the most milquetoast kind of criticism but Disney's apparently at war with him and a lot of others too and Youtube's beholden to them. Fuck.. These.. Companies..

Disney/LF never liked him. I think one of the employees (Pablo Hidalgo?) mocked him for crying during the Mandalorian Season 2 finale.

Star Wars was not just known for its space battles, the designs/aesthetic, the prosthetics/make-up too. It's crazy how bad the prosthetics and make-up department is now. The budget for The Acolyte is more than Godzilla Minus One and yet the make-up look like it was made with only 10 dollars. The most ridiculous prosthetic was for the Inquisitor in the Kenobi miniseries. He looked nothing like the aliens we saw in the Prequels. They must have the designs and references in their database, how could they fuck that up so bad?!

Oh god, you people have no idea.
I fucklng need to share this with you.

So as you might know, I occasionally do written reviews. Usually I do games, or more commonly, things that are pretending to be games, but occasionally, I cover like like How to Destroy a Man Now, as well. Back in 2022, a Kiwi - I can't for the life of me remember who - sent me this hilariously awful book in PDF format called the Sisterwitch Conspiracy and begged me to review it, and the only reason I didn't is because my computer died.

However, before it did, I did get the chance to read it - and the book was was almost transcendently bad.
Now the more perceptive among you might go: "Jaimas, the fuck does this have to do with Star Wars? Did you take all your meds at once again?"
While the answer to the last question is yes, hear me out on this one, because Uncle Jaimas is about to take you to realms for which you are unprepared.

The entire plot of the book is that witches foretold a time when, via a power they knew as "the thread," males would ultimately cease to exist and the entire male-dominated world would come undone. The writer of the book, Sonia Johnson, is an excommunicated former Mormon who is also a rabid feminist, and also out of her fucking mind, and even now in her 80s she keeps to believing this book is less a work of sci-fi and more an inevitable religious occurrence.

......What I am saying is that this shitty episode openly ripped off an obscure insane feminist's equally insane writing, and the only reason I know this is because one Kiwi - I want to say it was @Coldgrip, but I cannot for the life of me remember - threw it at me and told me to review it.

A world that's only women, only a feminist would think that's a good thing for women.

History has shown, real life has shown, time and time again, an all-female environment that is without a higher authority to report to falls apart with competition and vendettas aplenty. Essentially, just go to any all-girls' school, and you'll find cliques, girls who sabotage other girls, and girls who can't stand it if other girls become more successful than they are. Not saying that boys or men are free from this, but women, especially modern ones that lack religious or moral values, are very vulnerable to this kind of nonsense.

I remember a woman-only tribe in Asia that certain feminists love to bring up as a heaven for them. In reality, that group of women don't do shit, they produce nothing, they even have to import food.

Don't forget what the Bible says about the historical track record of all female societies.

There was even an online article years ago about an all-female company that got broke from all the usual entitled girl problems - cliques, sexism and lack of putting effort to their work. And I can't forget an episode of The Island where a group of females weren't able to do much compared to the male group who were doing the actual work since they were either too busy relaxing in the beach or just plain insufferable and lazy. A single-sex civilization/organization will just quickly fall apart.
Don't forget what the Bible says about the historical track record of all female societies.
These people won't read the Bible. They think it's just a boring work of fiction that has a hippie for a savior.

So, twitter's telling me Mundi, the very fucking guy who tells us that Sith haven't been seen in millennia, appeared in the show as a jedi master several years before he'd even be born and knows about all the shit going down. And I'm seeing the usual defence of the prequel jedi being arrogant as why it totally makes sense that Mundi still disbelieves Sith could be a thing.

I want to take the time to remind everyone that the stagnation of the jedi order does not come from the jedi being inherently retarded, when Mundi shakes his head at the idea of Qui-Gon fighting a Sith, the intention isn't to tell the audience that he's an idiot. It's to illustrate that, as Obi-Wan told Luke, the jedi order were fresh off of thousands years of peace. The idea of the Sith still being around in a major capacity is a legitimately hard thing to buy. Which is why making these stories in the High Republic era is inherently unworkable, because the whole point of this era is that it sets up the order's stagnation and current position through a period of nothing major going down, and that includes dark siders who aren't 'technically' Sith, after the Sith were believed to be wiped out.

my buddy texted me about this earlier. I was also bothered by, uh why the fuck is Mundi alive? Let alone a master? 100 years before TPM? he was the main character in the early dark horse shit and from everything you get from that, Cereans have like a human esque lifespan. I always figured he was somewhere between qui-gon and dooku's age. what the fuck was he doing hanging around being a jedi master before he should be born? obviously that's non canon now, and I know that. but, I didn't realize we were doing weird shit like that. he's one of (if not my) favorite prequel era jedi not counting qui gon, obi, and lil orphan annie. I think I would know if he was like 160 years old or some shit. the clone wars cartoon already ass fucked him, now you fags had to drag him into the crapolyte? actually maybe his age makes sense. maybe he's got like some mental disorder like dementia or something by the time the prequels hit. hell maybe the sith were around the whole time, and he's just an old retarded fart who believed they've been gone a thousand years because he has been alive that long and sleepy joe's around the jedi temple all day.

If the current Star Wars writers didn't bother using the logic and lore in The Acolyte and before that, why bother now when they can just pull a new bullshit reason from their ass?
I wasn't saying I was shocked or anything, just another thing to add to the list of complaints that is about halfway up mount everest now with d-wars

I actually watched TPM this weekend and when I caught this line all I could think was “Not anymore, CHUD!
