He may have the option of claiming the CPS report was leaked and that compromises the case against him (ergo it ends in a mistrial), although apparently the cause wasn't so much a leak but an improperly stored document on a publically accessible terminal. That won't stop Nick from trying that angle of course.

He was at the hearing where it was presented and he had a lawyer. Also, the laws that make it protected are for the kids, not him. No current charge against him is enhanced or reduced by the results of that drug test. If they hit him with new charges, the results would be public as part of trial evidence. I guess he could argue it taints the jury pool but it would be the same as the search warrant or body cam tainting the jury.

There was a legal case some time ago that Nick covered. I forgot the names of the people involved. The case involved a custody battle between a separated husband and wife. In the case the husband was trying to get sole custody of the children. The mother was accused of doing all sorts of fucked up shit with their children including exposing their children, daughter specifically I believe, to drugs. It may have even been cocaine. I would like to review some of the streams where Nick talked about this case as I am willing to bet there are some fucking GEMS from Nick in those streams. It would not surprise me to hear Nick making some "up against the wall" type statements.

Does anyone remember this?

I'm going to hazard a guess that the two children who were being kept from school were in a state where the neglect was obvious, I will further hazard a guess that one of those children was the 9 year old daughter who was not being kept at home to hide her parents drug use but to hide her own.
