People rot as they get older. Even with the best medical care and personal trainers money can buy it is incredible difficult to hold onto anything close to good looks into your late 60s early 70s.

That being said Hillary bears a very unfortunate and heavy resemblance to a stereotypical evil witch character from a fairy tale and I have to imagine that has cost her votes.

She is an extremely off putting looking women and the perpetual look of contempt she always wears doesn't help.

She isn't off-putting herself; it's her attitude that makes her unattractive.

Sure, but there are plenty of examples where that's not always the case. I won't fill the post with actresses.

Hillary Clinton will never attain the presidency; she will eternally be known as the politician who lost to Trump. This single fact alone guarantees that she will be relegated to obscurity, with only fleeting remembrances of her as the politician who was defeated by Orange Hitler.

Yeah, but now we're seeing Trump do what Hillary did in 2016: hobble the bench of possible nominees. The Republican bench will look absolutely weak in 28, the same way the Dem bench looked in 2020.

I despise Hillary, and there was nothing more satisfying than rubbing it in the faces of everyone who cowered in their boots demanding we all be terrified of a Trump presidency knowing that she was the reason for it. But god damn it, the last election was a clown show and this one is shaping up to even worse.

Fucking thanks Hillary. The rise of Trump is on you and your relentless ego. I hope the last thought of your wretched existence is that you will be responsible for all of this shit. All of it.

I dunno, I think the Republicans have allowed (despite their attempts to gatekeep) a significant amount of younger populist politicians to enter the arena. 2028 looks better for them than for the big D.

Who do they really have that doesn't have the baggage of executive or legislative failure. Not Newsom. His track record is garbage for most people right of Chairman Mao.

The Republicans did that themselves by being a bunch of backstabbing, warmongering traitors who haven't moved on from the Bush era. I assume you saw their, Trump-less, debates.

It's not that there were promising candidates and Trump snuffed them out, like Hillary did to the Democrats. The Republican Party was, for all intents and purposes, dead until Trump breathed some life and relevancy back into it.

I remember listening to that Carolla episode when it premiered, and it was just amazing how Newsom was in trying to spin. Carolla's co-hosts at the time who were liberal weren't able to defend Newsom either, and Newsom had the balls to say he grew up in a single parent home and struggling to get by. The next episode Alison Rosen read the information that Newsom's father was an attorney for Getty Oil and he was living a Zack Morris lifestyle as a kid.

And Newsom and his PR team still had the fake balls to act like he would debate Carolla anytime, anywhere, and then never did. I guess he got his revenge by getting Kimmel addicted to adrenochrome and becoming a liberal lap dog.

The american people saw how Bush and the neo cons betrayed them after 9/11 hoped Obama would save them, and Obama was mostly just a continuation and that the deep state was in charge and then Occupy happened and race politics was the weapon of choice to protect the elites.

As is traditional in politics for thousands of years a class traitor realized he could leverage the plebes and did so for power.

They're going out of their way to make Trump a martyr
More than that they are defeating their own feedback loop of kvetching and twisting Trumps words out of context by not letting him put new words out. Hurting their own rage machines because without them fluffing the new thing there isnt actually anything there in peoples memories to get mad about.

in essence, they're going to be their own downfall.

sauce

Gavin Newsome tries to play the non-white race based favouritism card, but Adam Carolla calls him out on it. Of course, Newsome has no viable response and resorts to pathetic generalizations.

...the magnitude is ominous...
The fuck does that even mean?

They do not have bank accounts for the same reason my loser nephew does not have one: They are shit with money and do not want to work.

Both the Republican and Democratic Parties confront a competency crisis because of their failure to foster young leadership, which cannot be attributed exclusively to figures such as Trump, Hillary, or Biden. How exactly does this matter relate to to my previous comment, about Hillary Clinton?

Edited to add context to your second point*

Media opposition towards Donald Trump stemmed largely from his status as an anomaly threatening established norms and conventions. By contrast, Hillary Clinton's victory appeared preordained since she embodied continuity and adhered to traditional expectations. Any deviation from this perceived outcome provoked outrage and defiance among influential circles, effectively challenging longstanding political hierarchies and customs.
