To be fair, as a kid you didn’t really care because your parents paid the electric bill and maintained your infrastructure. It’s different when you have to worry about getting through a heat wave without a major AC repair or power outage.

While the usual meteorology suspects have been hyping high temperatures at least five degrees over the actuals each day so far [the NWS has been pretty much on target and constantly revising downward], they’ve also been completely wrong about storm forecasts and cloudiness. We had storms in the area on both Monday and Tuesday that weren’t called for that took a good bit of energy out of the heat for part of the day and most of today was mostly cloudy, which helped make today the most bearable of the past three days. None of that was forecast.

Mentioning “climate change” in every freaking article gets cumbersome too.

Then the answer is: As high a number as he thinks he can plausibly claim in order to get sympathy and exposure. Since he's massively stupid, his estimates of plausibility are poor.

I don't know what it is but forecasting has gone to shit. I don't think you can blame climate change, because the tornado sirens went off and the Internet showed NOTHING about why on a bunch of sites, and then like ten minutes later a thunderstorm warning appeared. Something is very fucky, and I blame fatrick.

I personally prefer this version. Used to hear it a lot on the radio. I was rather said when they quit but then they reunited in 2011!
I like to think of this as the sequel

Shouldn't cocaine-related discussion go in the Rackets thread? He's the #1 cocaine enthusiast with a thread on the Farms (Bossman lost it all.) We're in the Pat thread; I believe we should be discussing the legal limits for suspicious pepperoni consumption instead. And how fat Rick is.
