Anything can become addictive, for one thing. But hormones would be more addictive than average because it causes a direct impact on our biological chemistry instead of a simple placebo-induced dopamine hit.

Hormones aren't street drugs. I've been on gear for ages and at most you'll get "addicted" by certain AAS because of the androgenic effect ( mainly aggression ) but testosterone doesn't make you high or something, if when you start hrt you're hypogonadal you'll definitely feel the effect within 3-4 weeks ( depending on the ester, most commonly used they start to work approximately after 5 times the half life is reached=stable serum levels ). This is referred to males.
ETA you're gonna feel great like when you were 17 for a few months then it subdue and you get used to.

For females I know a few competitors, women needs a fraction of AAS, that gets fairly aggressive and jumpy on low doses orals like anavar for instance or test prop ( propionate, a short acting ester ). Pooners and ftm induce early menopause since they're chasing the delusion of having "male levels" when all they're doing is destroying their bodies ( baldness comes to mind, genital atrophy and so forth are menopause side effects )

First off I didn’t steal my wife’s clothes, I borrowed them. Second, you are correct I should buy my own clothes. Unfortunately being out while in a relationship with someone who is antagonistic towards transitioning means that at the moment I am not able to buy clothes without being reproached by her.

Maybe there will come a day when I can openly buy and wear my own clothes, but that day is not today. The weekend I described above was one of the few times when I could openly dress as my female self. This was made harder by the fact that at the time I was still in the closet and had only ever bought items of clothing that I could easily hide like underclothes and a pair of jeans that had been washed and I was waiting for them to dry.

Unfortunately some naughty terf decided to argue back.

I don't care that you were expressing "your female self" if my trans relative was borrowing my clothes with out permission or knowledge I'd smack them. clothes are expensive, if your the wrong size it can actually ruin the fit and damage them. especailly if your a woman. if you didn't ask your wife it was stealing. and people wonder why theres a distaste for trans people. idk because its clear you can't respect your wifes possesions.

being trans doesnt mean your absolved from boundaries.
