Yes, it's pretty black and white. He says "I saw the generation of gay men before me", whereas someone who's not a closet fag would say something along the lines of "I saw the gays of my parent's generation...". He then directly compares his own experiences to that of other gay men and said he would have ended up exactly like them were if not for him breaking away from the lifestyle.
One of those things would be suspicious but could be hand-waved as poor/strange phrasing, not both. Wu is a proven chameleon who will forget/remember certain aspects of his person and history (real or imagined) in order to get the most benefit and/or victimhood in any given situation.

Guarantee Julie Rei (((Goldstein))) isn't getting the bottom surgery because "transmedicalist truscum are wrong" so in his experience, "being trans" is just an identity + medication, not something you have to surgically go through before you are "really" trans.
On the other hand, if they go through with it, they probably convince themselves their axe wound takes as much maintenance as a natal vagina because "Well cis girls go to the gynecologist all the time!" Reality doesn't get in the way of their beliefs much.

Google thinks John invented this and I'm willing to agree because the other examples don't use it as the name of a philosophy or anything but as a modifier to multiculturalism:
None of this is new either, this is the old "melting pot" vs. "tossed salad" thing from 40 years ago.
Also, none of John's paragraphs in this tweet actually are connected, it's like four non-sequiturs. Try to work backwards from his summary "authoritarianism vs inclusion" and you can't get back to anything regarding multiculturalism.
It also shows he doesn't understand the people he's launching this jihad against that he claims he was part of for the entire 9 years they existed. They can completely agree with John and just say that Nazis, MAGA, Gamergate, whoever is just not part of the shared values and norms of America or democracy let alone both of these. John's "mutual respect" would just be telling them to shut the fuck up like that guy who suggested they have a civil debate. Is John going to say that Nazis, white supremacists or worse, Gamergate, deserve understanding and integration and the "mutual respect" of not saying that John's views are morally superior? Is he really?
I'm a radical liberal type on this already radically liberal forum but I would never say that Nazis deserve "mutual respect" or "integration" into anything. I don't think the state should oppress them or anyone should do violence to them if they aren't doing violence but I would never demand that every community be welcoming to Nazis rather tell them to fuck off or criticize them and mock them. When John deflects with "yeah but I'm saying we shouldn't label anyone who disagrees a Nazi" you get to respond "so then you admit that actual Nazis wouldn't deserve it. Who else doesn't?"
It's actually perfect stupid John, he's trying to slide up to the alt-right/right-wing grifter sphere using some super relativist sophistry when these are people who spend all day giving extended diatribes about how there's only one proper way to live and one proper culture to enjoy based around their own personal insecurities steeped in fantasies of a never existing utopia someone must have personally denied them and pavlovian social media conditioning. That's why they're the inverse of John's old friends, not some radical moderate libertarianism. And that centrist concept, that "American norm", that "enlightened multiculturalism" doesn't need John to lead it because as pointed about above it's just the default liberalism steeped completely into even the assumptions of the progressives, conservatives, wannabe fascists, communists, etc. in our culture. He's 200+ years late to lead the parade. He should rent a boat to come ashore into the Philippines and announce that he has returned while Frank makes that face.

She even played the wuman in politics card, saying that if a woman doesn't nod along with right wing talking points she's thought of as shrill and bossy and heaven forbid anyone say that about Wu.
Towards the end there was an incredible bit of hubris. Wu was saying that her ambition is that when she dies she wants to have an obit in the New York Times. The only way I can ever see that happening is if she dies via auto-erotic asphyxiation in a public place.
