It's less that they "let" them talk over them and more that The Cis Gay Man generally doesn't really give a shit imo
Gay is far too mainstream now for SJWs to pretend to be for oppression points, so the gay dudes are generally actual gay dudes.
I won't :powerlevel: too much, but the main difference between SJW gay people and regular gay people tends to be age. If a gay person goes to college and/or university within the last 3/5 years, chances are they joined a group for gay people. These groups are rife with SJW mentality and rather than exclude themselves from getting laid or being around other gay people, they tend to drink the Kool-Aid. There's a pretty popular gay club in my area that I've visited a few times, and there's a distinct line between older gays and the more recent ones.
People like Anthony Burch are generally pretty accepted by SJW gays since he's basically a free space on the bingo card of people to pedal their shit. Older gays who really only see being gay as wanting to bang people with the same shit as themselves despise it because the only reason they rock up to these places in the first place is to be able to get with people. And yeah, overly forward behaviour is pretty damn common in the gay scene, guys and girls included. Though men tend to be the main perpetrators, the gay community in general is an orgy compared to the rest of society.
Back onto Anthony as a whole, though. Looking over all his shit, seems like he was a guy with an interest in games and a little love for the old, offensive humour on the web but lacked any real identity in his life. But his wanting to adopt all these progressive attitudes is pretty much at odds with his core beliefs, and I think deep down he's smart enough to see through a lot of it but too scared to say. Like with all that Zoe Quinn jazz. He just reminds me of the sort of creepy guy who saw lots of women flocking to these feminist ideals and figured 'that's where the woman are at' and tried to get a piece. The vying for attention, the outlandish comments and the canned arguments he isn't fervent enough to defend are just coats over the one defining feature; Anthony's a pretty bland, straight guy who likes games. And instead of trying to become a good writer or introspect, he wants to define himself as a hip progressive guy in the gaming scene when he's just not.
Anthony needs to stop lying to himself, his marriage was unhappy and instead of losing something he defined his bland boring life by, he decided to double down on the fake progressive views and allow his wife to rail other blokes. When he couldn't get a slice for himself he tripled-down and tried dudes, but yet again failed. No wonder she divorced the guy, he's living a fucking lie. I know this post is pretty hefty, and there's a lot to say about the many transparent layers of Anthony Burch but at the end of the day, I don't hate the guy, I just think Anthony Burch is sad. He'd be better off alone and making fun HAWP episodes than surrounded by SJW's who don't care about his opinion because he just parrots what they say and hate him because he's a straight white guy who helps produce games.
