How can D&D be unpozzed? Can it be?
Easily. The question is will the blackpillers/fanboys stop themselves from consuming garbage?
It sounds obvious, but as seen repeatedly online, including this very forum, people will tie themselves in knots to avoid walking away. When it comes to video games as a whole, people complain about AAA games like Assassins Creed, but when told to play indie games, emulate old stuff, or even stick to the few non-pozzed AAA games like Doom and Eldan Ring, there's always some excuse. "Oh, I saw a pozzed indie game once, therefor all indies are pozzed." "games have always been political. Look at how Metal Gear Solid talks about nuclear war. Clearly this is the same as trannies and BLM flags." "Some tranny YouTuber also likes Eldan Ring, so I'm not going to play it." etc.
I see the same with TTRPGs. I've heard ad nauseam about how shit 5e is from anyone and everyone, but try to get them to play literally anything else is an uphill battle. It's a similar, but lesser story with PathFinder 2. "Paizo? More like Pozzo am I right?" but they're really the only 5e alternative many people won't immediately reject.
And despite claims otherwise, I don't think I've ever seen something that's pozzed that was in any way subtle about it. And because it's obvious it's trivial to remove or avoid.
The rest of my answer is just
@Corn Flakes answer. Get some writers in once this wokeshit is no longer in vogue. We're already seeing this is games and Hollywood, and WotC will follow suit. ESG money is running out, and the economy means making unprofitable product is not sustainable.
My idea of how I would do it if I was in charge of WotC. Fire the writers, hire/contract new ones. Have them jetison any canon written under 5e, or failing that, retcon it or ignore it. Do some political incorrect reboots like Planescape, Dragonlance, and Dark Sun to get the fans back on board. Commission an artist to paint a hot chick in a chainmail bikini to go on the cover of the next edition to get the nerds back on board. Maybe do a realistic historical setting book to shut up the Shadiversity/HEMA/Reddit people. All of this together will be a statement of intent. The PC woke era is gone, and we're now in the metal age of DnD.
